Yeah, they've already shown that they can win three consecutive games against a good team in the postseason, so I'm not going to count them out just yet. However, they are definitely at a disadvantage. Should be fun, though I am surprised. Between the two LCS', I was sure this would be the one to go to 7, and I figured it would be 2-2 after four.

The Blue Jays are in deep doo doo.

OTOH, they might be thinking, 'we have the Royals right where we want them'.

The Jays pitching is not in great shape at all now. Losing Brett Cecil hurt them, and Price hasn't been the stud horse they needed him to be at the front of the rotation.

Cubs are a joke, the way the Mets are playing now I wouldn't be surprised if they win it all.

Cubs are not a joke at all. They beat out the teams with the 2 best records in baseball. Then they ran into a team that is better, or hotter than them right now.

Wouldn't it be great if the Cubs, in the midst of their own 2004-Sox like World Series drought, came back and won 4 in a row? People would go nuts.

That would be fun to watch!

As good as the divisional series were, the championship series are a let down.

Hopefully, the Cubs can liven things up a little.

The Cubs have a good young team but lack pitching depth. Looking forward to next season, they will need to strengthen their pitching. They have a strong top of the rotation, but the rest of the staff and the bullpen are not good. They are in a tough division with the Cardinals and Pirates.

The Yankees had horseshit pitching in 2004. The Mets have one ace after another taking the hill. Plus, the Cubs offense is not the 2004 Red Sox.

I didn't say it was likely, I just said it would be great. Let's be honest, Mets or Yankees, do any of us really want a New York team to win the World Series?

Not me. I've been saying f*** the Mets since 1986.

I've mellowed. One of my first gloves was a George Thomas model. I'm sure everybody remembers him. Go Mets!

Well, the Jays are not going to go down quietly, at least not today.

I'm hoping the Cubs can at least win 2 games and force a game 6.

I was reading some postseason pitching numbers on the Jays. Don't remember the exact numbers, but the starters' ERA was in the 7 range and the BP ERA was in the 10 range.

I was just thinking that this morning, how the Championship Series have not been all that exciting. I'd like to see both series go to at least game 6, if not the 7th game. Not likely though.

Oh well, it's baseball, and baseball is better than no baseball.

Daniel Murphy is as on fire as you can be without literally being on fire. Which, I admit, would be a detriment to playing baseball. So I guess figurative is working for him.

Wasn't there a baseball videogame about ten years ago that was "extreme" - the players tackled each other and at one point they were literally on fire?

Still LOLs at starting Kevin Brown in Game 7. Thanks Torre, don't mind if I do.

Cubs are a joke.

Mets already up 4-0 in the 1st

Cubs aren't a joke, they just ran into a buzzsaw. Murphy is playing out of his mind this postseason. It looks like the Cubs have a core of good young players, who knows, maybe they'll be back next year. The immediate future for them is looking better than it has for a long while.

"now those Cubs bandwagon fans are no where to be found"

"Mets are going to win the World Series, might not be the Yankees, but seeing my fellow NY brothers win is nice."

Any one else see the irony in those two statements?

Just as I am sure that White Sox fans are heartbroken over the Cubbies.
