I have no problem with Bautista's bat flip, although had it been against the Red Sox, I would not be happy with it.

Why the inconsistency? Whoever it's against, either it's ok or it's wrong.

I fully admit my hypocrisy on this matter. Can't help it.

The Royals. As I've mentioned several times before, once the Sox are out of the playoffs, I will default to whomever has the longest WS drought. I'm pulling for the Cubs to win the whole thing, but as far as the ALCS, I'd rather it be the Royals with a chance to win the WS than the Blue Jays, since the Royals' WS winless streak is almost a decade older than Toronto's.

Anyone seen Bound? Because my reaction to the Dodgers losing is like Caesar after he kills Johnny. "I'm a dead man? Guess again, Johnny. Who's the dead man, Johnny?"

I've seen it, but only once. There is only so much of Jennifer Tilly's voice I can handle.

But you could manage to handle her tits, I assume.

The Royals, definitely the Royals.

I keep going back and forth. I really have no issue with either team winning. In fact, I wouldn't have minded the Astros or the Rangers winning either. I'm just looking for a good series.

This is a good way to think about it. OTOH, the Jays are mostly responsible for making sure the Yankees didn't advance too far in the playoffs. They get brownie points for that.

Yankees - GONE

Dodgers - GONE

Cards - GONE

Even though my team is not in the tournament not all was bad this week!!!!!!

Nice week indeed. Actually, it was a great week once the Yankees were gone.

Although he sucks in postseason play, someone will overpay for him.

Well, getting to the postseason is important as well. Clayton Kershaw has been basically Byun-Hung Kim in the postseason, but I'd still want him on my team.

As was the case with Sandoval, postseason play should have little or no bearing on a contract handed out to a player. The sample is not only too small, but it is also spread out over several years.

It is amazing how quickly the tide of a game can change on something like a botched routine fly ball.

That's the way it seems. But an awful lot of Royals hitters squared up on Price after that.

Well, Price had to pitch out of the stretch after not having to since the first inning. Also, think of the possible psychological effect it had on the Royals. They finally had a base runner, plus it woke the crowd up.

Sometimes, this type of thing is all it takes to get a team or a batter going.

Momentum is another one of those unpredictable things.

The Blue Jays have banned beer in cans in the upper decks of the Rogers Centre. Apparently due to all of the fans throwing beer cans from the upper decks when the umps ruled on that off-the-bat return throw in the DS. I would have expected more from Canadians. Hockey I understand, but I would think they'd be a little less riotous during a baseball game.

I hate when umpires look for an argument with a player. The ump last night should have been behind home plate between innings and not in between home plate and the pitcher's mound looking to instigate an argument with Tulo. No one goes to the game or watches it on TV to see the umpires. The league President should call that jack hole and read him the riot act.

The Blue Jays are in deep doo doo.

OTOH, they might be thinking, 'we have the Royals right where we want them'.
