I switched over to the football game in the 8th. Couldn't believe it when I saw that the Sox won. :)

Really?  What standard are you using for better?  The Sox are three times more games over .500 than Cleveland, Chicago, and Toronto combined.  But somehow all 3 are better.  Yeah that makes sense.

Cleveland and Chicago are .500 teams that play in a sub.500 division where being mediocre gets confused with being good.  If you were a fan of either of those teams you would immediately name Boston as better.  But then why use the same standards?  I mean, the Red Sox are 6-0 against the White Sox and have a better record.  But somehow the White Sox are better.  Got it.

And if the Jays are better, why are they 6.5 games behind Boston in the standings?  Heck why arent the Jays even a .500 team?

With all the injuries, is this still the team that compiled 83 wins? Sox management is hoping to enter the playoffs with the return of some of the key players by being careful now. Makes sense, but ehy still need to lockup their wild card slot.

The Sox looked like Dead Man Whiffing all night until Story connected. He had two hits and two Ks, but like Rafaela he just keeps swinging.

It's not like Duran, who took two strikes down the middle and then predictably fanned on a ball at his ankles.

Guys like Trevor and Ceddanne never get cheated because they're always hacking, knowing humanoid pitchers will eventually make mistakes near their bats...

Afterwards I watched the end of the Angels-Twins in extra innings. Trout had the key at bat, fouling off a bunch of pitches before lacing a game-tying single. Minnesota brought in a lefty to pitch to Meckler, who looks like he's wearing one of those glasses-nose-mustache disguises. Twins used a five-man infield on the grass, daring the batter to make contact. 

First pitch he slapped it through the hole on the right side for the walk-off.

Absolutely shocking that Moon doesnt know who she is, but she has one hit and it was 30 years ago.  I just dont know if Id call her "modern".  We are getting older.  Our childhood crushes are not "modern" in 2026.

She might be due for a little comeback though.  The heroin/junky hottie look is coming back like the Calvin Klein models in the 90s.  With the rail thin and the black eye makeup and the ripped fishnet stockings.  The "use me" look.
