At least it's not the Yankees....that got old for me.

That's why I gave up my Yankee tickets.  I had them for the RS games, and would sell most of the rest.  But the Sunday night games would start at 8:00, and last a solid four hours.  Good luck catching the subway and bus at midnight.  Now it is a more reasonable 2.5 hours.  Thank god for Manfred.

Early 's ERA coming into this game was 3.30. However, his FIP was 4.75.

imagine what Milwaukee's pitching lab could do with a guy like Early.

Early has had nothing this entire game. Unfortunately, the Triple A manager didn't notice. Fortunately, the FO hasn't extended his contract yet.

don't worry. it's on their To Do List.

I doubt there will be anymore Contreras available at the TDL.

I would try to move 5 or 6 guys for PTBNL's znd play out 2026 with about 21 guys. See who can man up

Mono then Ks on ball 4.

Here's your 9th down 2 runs:

Durbin K ; IKf foul out ; Mono K; Narvaez left on deck

Thanks for the play by play of the Woo Sox but how did the Red Sox do? This lineup is criminal in Boston. Brutal brutal brutal

IKF would have walked except for swinging at 2 pitches over his head

A couple of days ago, I watched Monsasterio swing at a 3-2 in the 8th with a guy on base and -0- outs.  The pitch bounced at least 1-2 inches before the plate.  Not remotely close.  Do we need practice recognizing balls and strikes?

Not seeing Narvaez at the plate was truly disappointing.

Early looking more and more Bello like by the day.

Imagine how terrible he’ll be by time he has 100 career IP

Will probably have more than Bello's career high of 24 HR at the end of the season.

Just saying he's on the path of a young Bello. If you think that's bad, that's on you. I think Early is just a mid to back end rotation guy.

He might be.  But right now, comparing him to Bello, an expensive pitcher in Worcester, doesn’t exactly portray the most positive comparison

That's not on me TBH.

Bello '23 age 24: 107 ERA+, 1.4 HR/9, 1.338 WHIP, 4.54 FIP, K/9 7.6, BB/9 2.6

Early '26 age 24: 108 ERA+, 1.7 HR/9, 1.332 WHIP, 4.99 FIP, K/9 8.6, BB/9 3.4

so we should sign him to a 6 year, $55M extension, right?

According to a lot of posters from a few years ago, it's worth it for a back of the rotation guy! 😎

Saw the thread title and thought you meant Eovaldi...

... who, since he signed with Texas in '23, has 15.5 WAR (not including the postseason he went 5-0).

2023-26 for Boston:

Bello 5.5 WAR, Crochet 5.4 WAR, Chapman 4.7 WAR, Crawford 4.1 WAR, Whitlock 3.7 WAR, Houck 3.1.

Would be lucky to get 28 games out of him, but he's been pretty great. Can't believe he went back to Bloom and asked him to match TEX's offer, but Bloom passed because they already spent the money on Masa and Kluber. 😭

Bloom went to Yale so he totally understood the value of an established postseason hero in his prime in big market Boston vs. a guy who played on the other side of the world in a league equivalent to Triple A, plus another who never pitched on a big stage whose arm was cooked.
