He's also a supremely cooler ballplayer and more fun to watch.

That I’ll agree with.

Just start agreeing with all my posts. It'd be easier on both of us.

I’m not a SAM to JH.

I think Eyanson is probably undervalued ATM on BTV. I don't think they do a great job at valuing guys who don't already have established MLB careers.

Who else? I'd go with any 2 guys from 15 and below. A lot less value now that this year is shot for both teams.

I don’t disagree with their evaluations on minor leaguers.  So few of them carry much trade value.  And theyre not the site projecting future performance.

That said, still not giving up Eyanson (or Witherspoon) for Paredes…

They can have an injured Valera.

You could, but I won't listen.

Just as well as this is not an audible medium…

My kids are already on break so I have them dictate all these posts to me. I'll have them skip over yours.

Am I correct in assuming they’re dictating the responses to you as well?

Parades for Eyanson? Pass.

But aren't we a little more sober lately comparing minor league prospects to established big leaguers?

Paredes was an MLB All-Star the past two years. Eyanson is a good minor league pitcher... but so was Bryan Bello to some extent.

When it comes to pitchers, though, I trust the prospects coming out of D1 and the SEC more than the DR summer league.

It may kill Brez to see so many of his traded pitchers succeed elsewhere, but someone as calculated as he must have known he was hoarding prospect capital when drafting all those big arms last summer.

Gotta give to get. If the Red Sox really want to turn this debacle around -- by next season -- they need to trade Eyanson, Witherspoon, Phillips and Holobetz for four Paredeseseses.

He’s probably traded away as many pitchers doing nothing, and most of them were pitchers he’s traded for at some point.

I think the only homegrown pitcher Hes traded away are Hunter Dobbins and Luis Perales.  Others like Harrison, Priester and Fitts just briefly passed through the Sox system, and only Harrison cost any quality to get.

He did give away Sale, but at the time Sale there was no reason to believe he was going to return to Elite Chris Sale…

As Mets fans in the 80’s used to say before disembarking for home games -  “touché”

If Paredes had more than '27 left on his deal, it could be worth it to deal a big arm for him. This season is lost, there's no value to having him this year. One year of Paredes (3 fWAR maybe) vs 6 years of Eyanson? It's not even close IMO.

If they want a bat, they can use Eyanson to get someone better than Paredes IMO.

His contract limits his appeal.  But if the Sox could pry Sean Murphy (2yrs $30mill) from Atlanta where he is now the world’s most expensive backup catcher, it makes sense to add him as a RHH C/1b/DH bat.

And Atlanta could stop activating Carlos Carrasco types.  Leave Carlos alone!! His right arm is attached by maybe 3-5 cells  at this point!! The man has had more surgeries than the entire cast of every “Real Housewives” program combined!!

Although if any team can do something with Bello (questionable), then his contract for a bulk innings pitcher or #5 starter is not terrible at about $9 million per.
