Poor Peggy -- pestering her hubbie for love all those years (this is how we know it was TV fiction).

And then, of course Al Bundy ends up with Sophia Vergara. Like that part was realistic...

... and now you know why we'd rather watch the non-fiction Red Sox flop around with the worst offense ever for over two months before they sold their soles of their Nikes to become the greatest team in the history of this summer.

I think the reason I am off on Braves is because their 2026 injuries are less of a fwar subtraction from projected because the projecteds are already down from previous injuries.

For example, losing spencer strider to injury in 2026 probably wasnt as huge as a loss as i would think from a fwar perspective because his fwar projection for 2026 was already down from his previous injuries.  ANd maybe some of this applies to Acuna too.

"If everyone was healthy, we wouldn't have a depth issue!" Is that a serious argument? 

 

Sorry I couldn't help myself.  But I think those stats better illustrate what was going on inside my mind the other day.  Honestly, WHO gets injured is important.  All teams sustain injuries through out the year, all teams have depth guys etc etc.  But losing someone like Crochet is obviously very different than losing Zack Kelly.  And losing someone like Conor Wong is obviously not the same blow as losing Contreras would be at this point. 

Not surprised the Sox are #1

Seems like the Sox have had worse luck than most teams with the injury bug for a few years now.

I always imagined that Ed O'Neills character in Modern family was sort of like a sequel to Married with Children where Al got away from his family and became rich successfull and had a second chance at life.

Only 2 innings in that case.  That way he needn’t risk counting on that injured finger…

A healthy Anthony and 2025 Story can help this team. It will make easier to give some of the Sox days off to recharge their batteries for the stretch run. 1B-3B-CF-RF have played a lot over the last couple months and all of them seem to look better hitting after a day off.

If and when there is a lockout, then and only then, Casas will be 100% healthy.
