  1. Bregman HR-7 RBI-30 AVG-.240 OPS-.681 Durbin HR-7 RBI-36 AVG-.229 OPS-.673 Both have played solid D, but their offensive numbers are pretty even! And Durbin is doing it for a lot less money and is younger. I do think the younger Sox players miss the Bregman voice in the clubhouse. Overall, I still want Durbin to keep this up. Plus, used the saved money for right-handed power bat.
  2. Breslow's failure to bring in right-handed power last winter remains the major problem with this team! They have not taken advantage of quality starting pitched games and lost games that they should have won. They get behind by 3 or more runs the game is over.
  3. Agree! It's over a year now that Campbell was sent down. You look at his numbers and man, they are so not a player ready to get back to the SHOW!
  4. Early got the dreaded, "He shouldn't be out too long"! We heard this about Crochet, about Anthony, and so on and so on!
  5. He has been so up and down that I don't know would the Sox would get for him in a trade!
  6. Slaton has not looked the same since he returned from his injury. The Sox should have been 5-1 on that last road trip, but the bullpen blew two games against the Rockies!
  7. I think the Yankees D played a big role in the Sox win last night! Contreras shot between the third basemen's legs should have been a double play and no Sox rally. I'll give them credit that they took advantage of that play and put a 4 spot up!
  8. Agree! He has been the most consistent bat over the last few weeks, but I have to see more. Last night's home run to put the Sox ahead would not have happened a month ago.
  9. No! Team needs right-handed power, and you trade the only right-handed power bat we have? If we had two more right-handed hitters with at least 10 home runs, with the pitching and D we have received, we would be in one of the playoff spots in the weak American League!
  10. When he is good keeping the ball down, he is good, but when he is bad it's like he is pitching batting practice!
  11. Same need that they had last off season! Lack of power continues to be the Sox problem. Last night they had runners on every inning but didn't score! If in one of those innings someone ran into one you have a whole different ballgame! The offense is hard to watch! Never thought I would say that about a Red Sox team!
  12. A team that plays half their games at Fenway this can't be! Last night they had runners on base every inning and didn't score! At Fenway! Still lack right-handed power and they can't get a big hit when needed!
  13. You play half of your games at Fenway Park and you are last in the league in home runs! That can't happen if you plan on winning anything! As it stands now if they fall behind by 3 runs they can't win that game. A Red Sox team that can't come from behind by three runs! Before the 2027 season that has to be corrected.
  14. Agree! Trade Chapman and keep Whitlock. Can always resign Chapman this off season if they want to. He has a lot of value to a team that needs a big arm in the back of their pen. Should get some value for him.
  15. This day-to-day injury will turn into months just like the other Sox injuries with Anthony and Crochet.
  16. I'm so done with him. I got everything I needed to finish today done in the morning so I could watch a Wednesday afternoon get a way game. Within ten minutes in the top of the first the game was over! The next six games should be the measuring stick of what this team does at the trading deadline.
  17. Sox still need what they needed over the winter: minimum two right-handed power bats. They have less than a hand full of three run homers this season. Hard to score a lot of runs without hitting homeruns.
  18. Some guys just can't play under the bright lights of Boston. With the problems the Sox have had scoring runs they can't hide a D only third basement!
  19. The time the big guy gets back the Sox will be dead and buried for the Summer of 2026!
  20. Now that the Sox are hitting a little more, the bullpen has become the issue. Injury to Whitlock puts bullpen arms in high leverage positions they cannot be in for Sox success.
  21. I am also concern with the injuries. He is too young to be having all of these issues. Before he got hurt last year is what the Sox need from him. If the Sox can get a healthy Anthony and trade for someone who can hit for power and play 3B, their pitching and D can get them a wild card in a weak AL.
  22. Slaten back in the 7 inning roll is big for the Sox. Talk about shortening the game. He needs to stay healthy because the Sox are going to be in a lot of low scoring close games. Their record when the Sox starter goes 6 innings is great, and then you shut the door in the 7-8-9 with Slaten, Whit, and Chappy!
  23. As bad as the Sox offense has been they are still in the wild card picture because of all the American League teams hovering around .500 . With pitching and D they have they can stay in the hunt if they can pick up a bat or two before the trade deadline. I think it is still too early to pull the plug on the season.
  24. I think the Durbin experiment is over. As good as the D has been, the O has been terrible. It's amazing that the Brewers won trades with the Sox for young controllable pitching two years in a row. If the Brewers call up Sox about a young pitcher in the Sox system, they need to hang up the phone.
