Fire Cora. Ive been posting on various Sox forums for far longer than I care to admit, and this is the first time I’ve called for a manager to be fired…

It's only 10 games so far and they could easily turn it around, but if not then how much more losing do you think Boston would need to do for them to fire Cora? If they start like 4-10, or 8-20?

I think they'll play it out this season with Cora no matter what. JH will make a call and decide who to keep around Cora or Breslow. Hard to say what this org will do. They have previously gotten rid of Don Orsillo, Terry Francona, Theo Epstein, Dave Dombrowski, Mookie Betts, Xander Bogaerts, Chris Sale, Jon Lester, Manny Ramirez, Pedro Martinez, Rafael Devers, Adrian Gonzalez, et al.

The following contracts expire after '27:

CORA

Story

Masa

Contreras?

Chapman

Oviedo

Whitlock?

I'm not saying it will happen. I wouldn't bet on it, but I think both are liked. They can move people round and make room for Cora. Maybe the can one guy, somewhere.

He did have a pretty long stretch of consistency in 2025. We need one, now.

In 2025, he had a 641 FIP after 2 games, then he went 3.89 over 23 starts before ending with 5.07 over his last 3 starts, followed by an awful playoff game.

I don’t think BOH even exists.  Has anyone ever actually seen this guy?  As far as I can tell, he’s like Randall Stevens from “The Shawshank Redemption”…

i hope they fire him. i'm sick of him and Breslow and the s*** they keep trying to sell us.

It will be interesting to see if Masa is in the lineup tonight after getting 3 hits yesterday, or if he’ll be back on the bench. Abreu needs to move up in the order. Story needs a timeout, or two.

Story moved down in the order. Masa starts over Duran. 

Duran started 147 of 162 games last season (91%). After today, he will have only started 8 of 10 games this season (80%). 

I would have sat Rafaela and played Duran in CF.

The lineup shuffle for today can't hurt.  They scored first and Bello is holding on through 3 .  So there is hope for the turnaround guys.
