Maybe Pedey should start putting together a new ownership group with Pedro, Papi and ____. Edited by moonslav59

All of the talk from the front office should be put into the context of 3 last place finishes in the last 4 years and likely another in 2024. Talking about structuring the team the right way put into the context of what has happened over a 5 year period shows the approach to be what it is and that being another year of inaction while nothing much happens and the rest of the league actually makes moves. It is time for a new ownership who actually cares about putting a competitive4 product on the field. It a new ownership said they wanted to rebuild the team through the use of our prospects, at least one would hope they meant it. Not the current group, they are just extracting profits and will until the fans rebel or boycott the e team.

So, the Sox executives are sitting together having a nice dinner when they are interrupted by a face time call from Dustin Pedroia ? Yeah, right.

Does it matter. The gist of it is no one is on the same page as Henry; unfortunately his page is the one that counts.

You think Kennedy made up the whole thing? Um, why would he?

I'm wondering why Company Man Sam would even volunteer the anecdote to the media -- unless it's a subtle way to show he actually agrees with Pedroia, Devers, Jansen, Cora, Breslow, local and national reporters, and MILLIONS OF RED SOX FANS.

The Bizarro Sam act is almost entertaining.

For those keeping track, former Red Sox stars, current Red Sox stars, and the current Red Sox manager are all basically lambasting the work of the front office.

This Netflix doc could really be a doozy.

Did y'all read the Devers interview on The Athletic? That should be a wake up call for this ownership group.

The talk from ex-players who starred for the Sox might be helpful, too.

The more the drum beats, the better chance they wake the F up.

Papelbon: "They have to go get this kid Montgomery -- he wants to play in Boston."

Truth.

These guys need to gang up on Henry & Co.

Be vocal.

Make the FO believe the fans will not tolerate this crap, any longer.

It's happening -- but I'm not so sure anymore there is an "& Co"

NBC Sports Boston -- 98.5 The Sports Hub -- is just hammering the organization today.

It's just Henry now. He's running the show.

One thing we have learned this off-season, Old Red was dead wrong; Henry doesn’t have ears everywhere…

He wouldn't even put the effort into a project like that. He has Sam to tell everybody what he wants and then he f***s off to wherever he goes for a few months.

But do we really think Henry had Sam tell us about Pedroia's demands to sign better free agents?

Why would Kennedy of all people share a dinner story where the organization is the punchline?

Maybe it's something more than just Good ole Pedey, still intense after all these years...

How this story got leaked does amaze me. Unless Pedroia was the original leak. But even then, the quotes from Kennedy fell along the lines of “Pedroia told us who the free agents were,” which is really odd considering I don’t think anyone truly believed that the Sox were unaware…

It gives the impression they are "listening."

More sham.

The word you’re looking for is “hearing”. Not exactly the same as listening…

No. They are pretending they are listening, but yes, with no follow through, it is just hearing.

This could be totally wrong again, but there is a chance Sam is finally getting tired of shoveling stalls in the horse stable.

And maybe when he uses the l-word about anyone who doubts the passion of those who run the club, he's really defending his colleagues -- and not the guy who signs their paychecks.

They're all in it together, they're all embarrassed... and they're all just as helpless as us.

It's showing that they are listening and engaged and hey here's a story!!! Wasn't that funny! Look over there!!!

??? It didn't leak - Sam told everyone about it.

I agree, but you know, it's easy for the guys not signing the checks to think, "We should spend more."

Why? Is he stupid? Or did Pedroia tell it first and Sam simply followed up?

It seems really weird that Kennedy would take this to the press…
