Let us throw our hats in the rings with some predictions.

Let us not debate it

there's plenty of that going on in the other threads. Let's see who gets it right.

When Bloom was fired I had positive thoughts for the team going forward. Now a month later not so much. It seems many are staying away from interviews and that the replacement will simply come from with-in or an inexperienced ex player like Kapler or Breslow.

How did we go from a guy like Dave Dombrovsky who is arguably a HOF GM to even consider Craig f***ing Breslow man?

How?

John Henry's brain went bad.

Also these fancy position labels must stop. They are getting ridiculous. We just need a GM, period.

No more damn rescues! Bloom is history.

Bring in some purebreds -- and not from a puppy mill!

I read somewhere that Ng isn't in contention for the Sox job, but that she'll probably head to Queens.

Dave was President of Baseball Operations. He had a GM underneath him.

Is that when the titles of baseball executives started getting fuzzy, or was it before that?

Theo was POBO for the Cubs when first hired and had a GM under him (Hoyer).

How about this latest news that San Fran has asked the Red Sox permission to interview Tek for their managerial position?

Was he your pick for the FO? If no, is there a better place for this discussion?

I was just throwing the news out there, at it’s not like people stick to the topics of all the threads anyway.🙈

Nope, and now we've just created another thread talking about the same s*** we're arguing about everywhere.

I should have figured this would happen. My bad everyone.

At least all the other comments were FO related.

I thought it was a bad idea to fire someone in your organization if you had no clue as to who you would replace them with.

I said from the beginning they know, and the extensive intensive (to some here, pensive) interview process is just for show.

Unless you think anyone would be better than Bloom?

The only way they've known all along is if it's Romero, I would say.

If Romero gets one spot, I predict Cora gets the other; I'm still unsure of whether AC also manages or ups one of his own.

Cora has one year left on his managerial contract and has said he plans to manage next year. Everyone is now operating on that assumption. It would make them look even more scattered if they give him a different job for 2024 from manager, IMHO.

Plus, Grumpy Bill is not making the GM/coach thing look very good to New Englanders these days.
