I didn’t know we had any non stat fans. Is Bogey going after the batting title?

dgalehouse likes to run his little skits to tell us all he and only he knows how to enjoy baseball, and how stupid anyone is for doing it any other way.

And in between those skits he likes to tell us how he never picks on anybody. So be on the lookout for that next…

Standings update!

500- Div- Wild Card.

Getting out of the cellar is a possibility. The Orioles are fading. About the only hope for a wild card would require a good winning streak plus the collapse of either the Rays, Blue Jays or Mariners. That is obviously an extreme long shot to put it mildly.

4 games from 500

6 games back in the L column for LAST place in the Div.

11 games back in the L column for last Wild Card spot

Lmao

You pink hat delusional pr!cks continue to defend this Management Team at all cost!

Injuries did have an effect on the season but in the end Orlando was and is the problem with this Organization

Ridiculous return on trades

Beer league Signings such as Family guy who blew last nights game

Inability to make depth trades and call up homegrown players as needed

Inability to identify players who should be traded while the stock is high

No closer

No Revamp of the Minor League Development system which is a joke far as Scouting Drafting and developing Pitching

But hey, he did add another Rays cast-off in Tommy Chang “priceless”

2 weeks left and some of you clowns still think you have a chance at a wildcard lmao

Good luck with that!

Who's your team, spineless?

Lamo, why all the vitriol for the Sox brainthrust? Where would we be without sly relief pick-ups Whitlock, Schreiber and Strahm? 7th place? 8th?

The difference between the clubs in last night's game and the entire second half is that NY's one true star repeatedly came through more times than the Sox' three All-Stars combined.

It's probably good for fans that Boston chose to pitch to a guy trying to break a league record, but anyone who doesn't pitch around him in the postseason should be fired...

Lol Familia is hardly the problem with the Sox; he’s been on the team for only a few weeks.

Maybe you haven’t watched your team in the middle of the biggest collapse in MLB history?

Who is even on here defending Bloom all day?

I don't even see this happening. We are truly witnessing someone's delusion every time they post.

He's just seeking the attention nobody else will give him.

Ignore trolls, and eventually they will go away or lessen their appearances.

There have been good and bad moves by Sox management, but Familia was definitely a bad move. Dumpster diving doesn't often discover a gem. More often than not the find is trrash,

The problem is sure, you find and good through more trash than gems. But this is also how the Sox got Schreiber, who has been a legitimate gem. But more important the Sox have found dirt cheap serviceable pitchers like Kelly and Danish this way. Certainly no one gets worked up over these guys, but pulling them off the minimum wage scrap heap leaves an extra $5-10 mill in the budget to fill other holes…

They must really think German is not ML ready.

I'd rather they just called up Winckowski or Seabold.

There was a good reason the Mets cut this guy. (I guess you could say the same about the teams who cut Schreiber.)

I don't really buy that any more. There's only one way they go away.

STORK is just kind of a harmless idiot though.

Well, if everyone put him on ignore, nobody would read his BS and respond.

If they were actually trying to be competitive, he wouldn't have been signed.

What were they actually trying to do? Kind of like looking for that 3rd option in the fork in the road at the trade deadline?

Schreiber, Kelly and Danish aren't also over the hill guys like Familia. Familia hasn't had a positive fWAR season since 2018 (about 180 appearances prior to joining the Sox!).

For those who watched til the end last night, be honest: who were you thinking you'd rather see on the mound in the 10th? At the time, I was hoping for Connor Wong. Verdugo may have been too amped.

They were running out of healthy arms and thought he was a guy they could take a flier on for cheap money. Maybe he'd be an average guy out there and be better than some of the junk they had put out there. He went to WOO and struck out the side. They liked what they saw and brought him up. He looked like absolute s*** in his first appearance against the f***ing Pirates https://www.fangraphs.com/wins.aspx?date=2022-08-17&team=Red%20Sox&dh=0 and should have DFA'd him then.

Yes, the problem is you have to count on everyone else to do it, and they won't.

I’d say that about sums it up.

Boston leads in one stat befitting a cellar dweller: 10 extra-inning losses, most in the league. Every other AL East team has a winning record in extras.

Of course, in the ghost-runner era, many factors contribute to the ineptitude, including Red Sox poltergeists swinging spectral bats that pass right through pitched baseballs... like apparitions walking through the greenish monsters of our nightmares.

True, and I end up reading what he writes via other poster's responses, and I respond, so I'm not really following my own advice.

Over The Monster. Why did Familia pitch last night? Excellent article to read, or listen to.

It didn't say why though? It was just another article venting frustration we all feel.

I guess it’s to everyone’s interpretation, which there is many.
