It feels weird not being able to follow these games on Gameday.

Can't you stream them? (I haven't tried yet bec. there's only one or two players on the team I even recognize.)

Only if you have MLB.tv.

I don't have MLB.tv, and I stream all the sports I want. (Or WAIT! NO I DON'T I SWEAR! But I have heard of people who do.)

But I did see one of the players I rather like (Lin) get a hit in the two innings they played today. Of course, he was playing for the other team, like many of the other RS players I've followed over the past few years.

Some guy on the Dodgers was pitching today with one eye open. Maybe it was Gonsolin. Afterward the field announcer pointed it out. I am paraphrasing his response which was that if he could get hitters out with one eye opened, it would be easier to get them out with both eyes open. The announcer then asked if he had a reason for it (i.e. keeping one eye closed). He said "definitely", and that was it. LOL!

Apparently, he did it to "challenge himself."

Have we seriously reached the point of claiming we miss Tzu-Wei Lin? What’s next - decrying management for letting Sam Travis get away?

If you like Lin, don’t worry. He’ll be available next year. And the year after. And the year after that. And, heck, probably after every year until finally he decides to retire...

The Red Sox tried the 'bring back the whole gang and keep the party going' approach in 2019. They really, really did.

...and people bashed Sox management for extending Sale, Eovaldi and Pearce.

Damned if you do-damned if you don't.

MLB GMs can never escape bashing.

He's the kind of "gem" Bloom often found with the Rays.

Richards struggled again, but Winchowski looked decent. He has pitched with more confidence since he changed his name from Babipchowski.

Yes. I don't choose players I like by their dWAR anymore than I choose friends on the basis of how much money they have. Is it shameful to like players who aren't the best in the league? Then why aren't you following the Dodgers?

Trading Sam Travis was a panic move.;)

Richards has been damaged good for 5 years.

Good news today: we did not roll over and okay dead after our starting pitcher let us down.

Bad news today; if we peel off the name tag on Richards jersey, does it say mazza?

Sort of like me doing tax returns when I'm stoned. :D

That sounds like a really good way to spend a Friday night

Yes, Texas was clearly in Panic Mode ;)

It's too bad he didn't stick with Texas. A man named Sam Travis should be playing for Texas.

New #RedSox lineup: Arroyo SS, Verdugo CF, Renfroe RF, Devers 3B, Dalbec 1B, Chavis 2B, Plawecki C, Muñoz DH, Wilson LF, and Pivetta RHP

(Martinez is fine, just a clerical error).

Good news today: Chavis with two hits by staying on pitches he was pulling off of last season. Pivetta - the more I see him, the more I like his stuff.

Bad news today: the rest of the pitching staff is looking like an extension of the 2020 staff.
