Is it too far-fetched to think of seeing what could be gotten for the likes of hate to say it but EROD or Devers... Sale will have to have TJ pretty soon for him to even be a factor in 2021. Let's throw the next two years out, make some smart trades and restock the farm. Go ahead and burn me to the ground now for this idea.

Sorry, but the MLB needs to do anything it can to help the Yankees get back on top -- like ensuring they get off to a great start by scheduling them to play Baltimore and Detroit the first 25 games again, like they did last year (while sending the Sox on a cross-country road trip for a month).

Tanner and Openers seem like the only path in house with Erod ,Houck ,Evoldi ,Perez ,Web .I don’t love the situation but here we are .Everything has to go right to make the playoffs now ....career years must be had by all .Redsox at a huge crossroads.I have to decide for myself and my family if 250 bucks for the MLB package is really a smart purchase for my sanity .BJ and Mata may have significant innings as opening starters .Guys Gals So sorry this is what the teams path has become but hey you just never know .Go Get Puig we need runs Trade Benny for Pitching he will not make a significant difference either way . Yes...and it also points out the reason for trading Mookie....it was all about the starters. Mookie wouldve been wasted on this team with these starters.

 

We could have survived without Mookie. Losing Price made if more difficult, but I was confident that Bloom would acquires some more starting pitching.

I am curious to what direction Henry will take though. Would he throw in the towel, have a full fire sale, and go for a full rebuild? I just can't see that happening.

 

He and Bloom may surprise us by acquiring some unexpected, decent starting pitching. Maybe it's wishful thinking.

"Decent" as in somebody that has not given up a run an inning. This was predicable. I don't see anybody expected Sale would pitch an entire season. My outside expectation was that they would protect Sale and taper him off somewhere along the way. That was the best I was hoping for.
