I always thought a Florida team should move to Buffalo (or NC) and then the other should play half their home games at each city.

Blue Jays to play in Buffalo

But the city of Buffalo only likes teams with pun names.

They have the Bills. They used to (still do?) have a minor league baseball team called the Bison. And at some point in the near future, you just know they’re going to change the Sabres to the Wings. (Seriously. How has this not already happened!?? It’s even a hockey term!!)

Buffalo Blue Jays? It just doesn’t work. Maybe the city will force them to use the moniker “Chips” for one year. Which is ok as long as there is no costumed mascot...

Jeez, great support of baseball by Canada. We lost the Expos, maybe we can find a way to lose the Jays too. :P

We’ll trade you the Marlins for them...

The other night, Eck asked Wake if he could still pitch because the Red Sox have no starters. Wake said that he can still pitch, but can't cover 1st base.

LOL I'd take it! If he can pitch, he's in. We don't need pitchers who can cover 1st base (I'm looking at you ERod).

Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez was shut down with coronavirus complications.

Rodriguez’ ailment is believed to be myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart often caused by viral infections.

He's a 27-year-old professional athlete... yet politicians insist schools can reopen because the fatality rate is so low for kids. This ERod example illustrates the other, long-term risks of a virus that not even experts seem to grasp entirely. I think we'll learn whether this sprint season can continue in about two weeks, after all teams have traveled back and forth.

OMG, did he die?

BOSTON -- Manager Ron Roenicke is the first to admit the urgency of each game during this unprecedented 60-game season, but he is not going to let that urgency allow him to push his players too hard in this opening stretch, in which Boston plays 10 straight days. The other

Maybe someone should tell Ron that there is no late season, no dog days etc this year. It’s basically a tournament.

Does Ron get his ideas from Alex C ? Rest cannot be stored up like acorns for winter. You rest when your tired. I honestly don't know how intense the "Summer Camp " was, but if these guys are tired sleeping at home, then forget it

Regrettably today's loss to the O's , with a lackadaisical offense in the day game after a night game, emphasizes why this short season is likely to be 25-30 W slog through mediocrity . Sunday's game becomes more important to see if it was just a Perez kind of day or a harbinger of a quiet October

Beni is certainly off slow. Maybe leadoff doesn't suit him.

Don't forget that we still have to ensure we stay under the pro-rated tax threshold this year to get the re-set for next year.

We won't be making any acquisitions that cost any money. It's likely to be a crappy "season". It'll be a short one though!

Obviously Perez was far from spectacular, but I don't get at all why Roenicke used Covey. The guy has been on the team for 2 days after being released by the Tigers. It was a close game, the Sox just got back in it, and after yesterday's blowout, the good bullpen arms were all still available.

And in a normal season, I get resting players. but this year is a sprint. I'm sure many have asked about why no Bogaerts, but it really made no sense...

Red Sox claim LH pitcher Stephen Gonsalves off waivers from Mets.

Churn baby churn.

Who is next ? Anthony Fauci ? That was the most pathetic first pitch attempt in the history of first pitches .

Red Sox are the best and worst team in the AL East, and would also be if in the AL Central and NL East. They're as good and as bad as 21 other MLB clubs, all tied at 1-1. Right in the hunt, and August starts next week!

Nah. Fauci doesn't even make the cut for that honor.

Roenicke's decision-making is in question? That took a while LOL

Time to call this season for what it is.

A turd!

Play the youngsters and let’s see what we got. Duran, dalbec, Chavis, houck, etc.

Ps: hang’em Chaim - please go back to scout school and learn how to properly scout pitchers. No more Perez’s, Weber’s, etc. your rookie 2020 class of pitching signings is beyond awful! This coming offseason, please sign a pitcher with actual talent!
