And BTW, in my neck of the woods at least, when the word "Sucks" was first used with a negative connotation the entire phrase was "sucks donkey dicks", and I forbade my kids to use it, It was only when "sucks" lost the part about the donkeys and became part of the lexicon that I relented and allowed its use. Now it's part of our country's language.

That's queer! oh wait in our politically correct world you can't say that word at all can you?

I will say seriously though that this is what we have become. Anything goes. Say what you want, do what you want, and expect to get what you want when you want it. No amount of pretending to be above it all by anyone is going to change things either. You can tweet, twit, or post anything that you want to anytime you want to. it is a whole new world. This is one of the reasons why I hate to see any changes to the game of baseball. i still think that some things are better left alone.

Queer is to be celebrated now, man. Did you not have your rainbow flag out during Pride Week?

Are you kidding me - I don't even dare comment on a real rainbow when I see them these daze! And DAZE is in fact what I mean.

That's right. "Queer" is not pejorative. It has official status as Q was added to LGBT years ago. If anyone has made an application to a college or university lately, you might know that the name of the affinity group has been modified to LGBTQIA and some schools define it as LGBTQIAHIV+. I am not making any commentary on this just stating what I know, and I am sure that I am already behind the curve. I just can't keep up.

personally i am looking forward to the day where we can just be H.U.M.A.N.

but that wont happen until all bias, oppression, or all forms of "ism" cease to exist. so...not very likely.

we need JBj to get on one of his epic hot streaks right about NOW.

He already had his hot streak this year. Not sure he's allowed to have two.

@darren_hartwell

Fenway Park has seen the least homers in the AL this season at 89. No other ballpark is under 100.

Is JBJ ever going to lose that stereotype?

Since his horrible ML start, he's been one of our most consistently good hitters:

OPS by month since JBJ's last call-up in 2015 (14 months since AUG 2015)

How can you look at that and say he's consistent. He with 3 months below .700 and 3 above .900!

That's not consistency, that's Mr Toad's Wild Ride....

Yes, Bogey IS INJURED. I'm sure if you it suited your argument you would have noted that. Pedroia hit .500 after coming off the DL. OMG!

JBJ has high highs and low lows. It's a fact.

He's been about as consistent as anyone else.

He's had 3 hot months, but having 7 out of 12 above .800 is better than...

Bogey's 5 of 12

Pedey's 6 of 11

HRams' 5 of 11

JBJ has 3 of 12 months below .730.

Pedey had 3 of 11

HRam 3 of 11

All I hear about is JBJ's streaks.

I'll take his last 3 years over anyone but Betts:

.835

.775

(Betts has 8 of 12)

Maybe he is as of today.

We scored well tonight but Cleveland has a good lineup and got to Sale and then our BP gave up what would have been a nice win. Cracks have begun to show in Kimbrel's invincibility. Notthing to do but to move on.

We got good contributions from many in the lineup with Holt looking better than Beni at this juncture. JBJ is sliding back into a slump snf Bogie is showing signs, but is still not fully back.

Busting out of the slump.

I'm thinking this is the beginning of a long hot streak.

24 runs in the 3 games since this post. No games with under 3 runs.

33 runs scored in our last 4 games.

Let's hope we stay hot right up to and through the playoffs.

Seems like our run production improved when devers and Nunez showed up and Vazquez got hot.

It was Nunez's famed line-up protection that ignited Vaz and others.

LOL

I know right!- Why would anyone put a guy that can hit like Nunez has been in the 3 hole? What a waste of rbi production.

The runs are coming from unexpected places. Nunez, Devers, Moreland, Vazquez are getting in the mix. Maybe it will spread as Betts got a couple of hits. JBJ has gone cold again and Bogaerts has shown some small signs of life which Beni isn't getting into the lineup in favor of Holt who is also contributing. Crazy game last night as I had shut down when I thought Moreland had struck out last night only to wake this morning to see he reached base on a wild pitch and then Vaz hit the home run. Crazy. Both cleveland and the Sox BP's weren't able to hold leads last night.

The most surprising thing was that Moreland had the wherewithal to run, after standing there in despair for a second or so. Had the ball rolled only 10 instead of 20 feet away, the image of the game (and the team) we would take away was him standing idly by while the catcher lobbed the ball to first.

True. Just an amazingly lucky break.

Vasquez moving the count to 3-1 with Mookie on deck was another key to the OLD STYLE RED SOX COMEBACK.

It's a godsend sometimes to have Mookie leading off. And it doesn't hurt that the bottom of the order has been consistently better, given expectation, than any other part of the order.
