He's that bad? Wow. Again, I'm fortunate and very glad that I get to listen to Don and Jerry. They may be Red Sox employees but they do seem to remain objective when something like a close play happens. Their chemistry is unmistakably strong and for the most part they are entertaining when there is a lull in the action on the field.

Yes Spud, to me he is that bad. Excruciatingly bad.

We are so lucky to have Remy and Orsillo! They are objective IMO. If they were homers it would be difficult and/or impossible to watch them. They never bore me. Very informative and their chemistry works so well IMO.

I'm old enough to remember Hawk when he was a color commentator for the Red Sox. He wasn't nearly as bad of a homer then. The White Sox really turned him loose with that stuff.

Clarlie Blackmon is hitting .380 in over 100 ABs with 6 bombs! Seriously, who is this guy and how does he do it? His .420 OBP must be the result of Colorado's weed smoking.

Grant Brisbee had a pretty solid article on him and others.

Dear Lord, the Rox are just unstoppable in their homepark. Tulo is hitting .600 at home. Everybody else, including the reanimated corpse of Justin Mornaeu is hitting like .400

Lol Dee Gordon and Michael Morse are starting on my fantasy team. Gordon won stolen bases for me last week by himself. However, I wouldn't say Morse is a bad player having a good season. he has put up numerous good seasons like this in his career. He is just inconsistent from season to season.

I'd sell high on Gordon.

Yeah I'm trying, no one is biting though and keep saying he's a scrub lol.. I'm only starting him because of injuries and under-performance from my other players anyway. Its pretty sad I've gotten more production from Morse, Bonifacio and Gordon than I have from guys like Encarnacion, Carlos Santana, Kipnis and David Wright.

My pitching carries my team anyway so as long as my offense can split categories I win pitching every week. In an auction draft I was able to grab Felix Hernandez, Kershaw, Jose Fernandez, Lester, Verlander and Weaver. lol

Your whole budget went on pitching. Even so most budgets couldn't handle all of that pitching. It's a good strategy in that many leagues are weighted toward pitching.

Yeah, I've gotten burned before by trying to go for offense and average starters. Decided this year I wanted to go all for pitching and hope a few big bats could carry me like Bautista, Encarnacion and etc. Right now I lead league in ERA, wins, WHIP, saves (have Hawkins, Broxton, Reed and Nathan as well) and strikeouts. My offense is average or below average in everything except steals which I by far lead league thanks to Dee Gordon, Starling Marte and Bonifacio.

Only thing that sucks is everyone thinks my strategy is stupid and wont trade with me because they are mad lol.. Ive been trying to deal one of my starters for a bat but no one will bite.

He's better than his 2012 season. I just don't think .260/.300/.320 the rest of season is going to hold off Alex Guerrero for long.

Oh I completely agree. Its just that most the people in my league feel the same way and aren't willing to give up anything valuable for him. At this point ill probably just ride him till he falls off. He was just a free agent pickup anyway and he's my SS/2B starter which I can play Kipnis at whenever he gets healthy.

Also did anyone see Pablo Sandoval swing at a pitch after it was clearly by him to try and distract catcher on a stolen base attempt and it worked?

Hahaha, this isn't based on any hard evidence, but it seems like wild swings lead to catchers tossing the ball into the CF. I don't remember who it was, but earlier this year someone swung at a pitchout, and sure enough it went into CF. Probably from sheer disbelief at the swing.

What was Texas thinking trading for six more years of Prince Fielder? They'll be paying $40 million for two DH's before Choo and Fielder's contracts expire.

What is the latest in the season someone has been over .400 since the last time Ted Williams hit .400? Obviously no one has done it yet, but some guys must have carried it on a bit into the season, right?

Yeah, Tigers definitely got the best of this trade.

Brett was over .400 in September, Olerud was over .400 in August. Gwynn was under .400 in August that year.

Carl Crawford has a WAR of 2.6 ( 4 seasons ) since signing his big deal. Talk about a horrible deal. Glad they got rid of this bum after 1 year and half.

In the same 4 season, Nick Punto has a 3.5 WAR.
