So in my fantasy league a lot of people do the "streaming" s*** where they pick up a pitcher on day he's starting, start him, cut him immediately after his start and keep repeating. One guy who constantly has been picked up and dropped is Yordano Ventura.. I don't understand why by looking at his numbers, but thanks to other people being dipshits it looks like I got a pretty solid replacement for losing Jose Fernandez lol

How many teams are in your league?

There is 10 teams. 1 Dude doesn't know anything and thought his team was stacked because he had Derek Jeter and is just playing because he's bored and one dude is inactive though, so basically 8 lol

I stream. Both leagues i play in allow a set number of moves/starts per week though. What's the big deal?

Bellhorn, how does that cut into your time? It literally takes three minutes to pick a pitcher with a good matchup from the waiver wire.

I don't have an issue with it, I was more so just noting I was surprised out of all the guys who had streamed Ventura, no one thought "hey, this guy is pretty good, maybe I should just keep him". I'll gladly take him though

In 1999 19 clubs score 800+ runs, 5 of them 900+, 1 of them 1000+

In 2000, 17 clubs score 800+ , with 5 other clubs 2-8 runs short of it.

In 2013 only the Red Sox score 800 runs.

Holy s*** just think how Pedro Martinez was able to dominate that era.

He was the most dominant pitcher that I have ever watched and I saw Gibson's 1.12 ERA in 1968. every time that he pitched, it was an event.

So would you guys drop Carlos Santana at this point? I have that catcher for Reds Morasaco or whatever whose on fire and Santana has been absolute garbage.. But he has shown potential of being a star before so I don't know what to so with him. I have a ton of injuries and it's hard holding onto someone like Santana.

I have had a crazy thought about baseball for a few years now. Most won't agree with it, but it would fix many problems in the game.

Drop the number of balls for a walk to 3.

Pitchers will nibble less, and pitch to contact more. This will result in fewer pitches thrown, and potentially fewer arm injuries.

It will speed up games and make them more offensive oriented for casual and younger fans with short attention spans.

We will see fewer power throwers with absolutely no control. All those arms who can reach 100 mph, but can't find the strike zone will be pushed out of the league, and injuring fewer players.

There will be fewer balls thrown AT players to push them off the plate, or as warnings, ********. The rule will not prevent intentionally hitting someone, but warning throws will add up very quickly.

Each pitch will matter, and umpires will stop getting away with awful calls.

A few years ago an even worse idea was suggested; batters only get two strikes.

I'm not convinced this would save arm injuries - especially if the damage has already been done by overthrowing as a kid. You are still going to get a lot of pitches fouled off, etc.

Cliff Lee, a common trade target, will undergo an MRI on his pitching elbow due to residual pain. He's been diagnosed with a "flexor pronator strain", which can typically be confused with a torn UCL on clinical exam.

And Lester's value goes up.

Chis Davis is heating up. He doubled his HR output tonight with 3. Nelson Cruz already has 13 HRs, and their best hitters are Machado and Jones.

ladies and germs, Joe Nathan choked again. Allowing a walk off run 2 bomb without recording an out. Dave Dombrowski sure build a pen of chokers over the years.

His 4th blown save against 12 saves. Not good.
