Only stat I watch every day is games ahead in the loss column. Despite poor play of late, Sox still up 6 in the loss column.

Our bats will come alive at some point.

Today could be a Bello day unless he's slated in an opener next couple of days.

My guess is Bennett will be skipped on Wednesday. Maybe move everyone's start back a day.  Or do it Monday/Tuesday with Bello in an opener game.

Rutschman's 1 for 14 isn't doing much (at least he's getting on base 5/18).  He doesn't seem to be swinging with authority (as if he's still injured, his swing from the left side looks worse than the right side).

BAL up on the Rays, early.

The line-up has no Contreras:

Sogard 1B

Rafaela CF

Abreu RF

Rutschman DH (will explode today)

Durbin 3B

Monasterio SS

Duran LF (still 7th)

Seigler 2B

Wong C

(Did they consider "resting Contreras as a DH?)

Rut will come out of his rut today in spectacular fashion. Book it.

I don't think anyone on this board would swing at that trash Cedanne swings at. He has no clue of the zone. Ted Williams didn't swing once like that in his whole career.

Rafaela strikes out on a ball a foot and a half outside. He’s swinging at over 60% of waste pitches-league average is 6%.
Definitely regressing

I wonder if,  in Cedanne's mind, there is any element of surprise when he swings and misses ?

76% swing rate, 66% chase rate ??

Amazing for one of the most productive hitters in the AL

Oh well….another series lost.

How many in a row does this make?

It would be 3, after winning 10 of the previous 11.

Durbin should be hitting third. I never thought I would say that after seeing him in April, May and most of June. He is a completely different hitter now.

Poll: Who has/had the stronger arm- Duran or Damon?

Duran. Damon could not throw a ball through your picture window
