Well, yesterday was wild. Are the Red Sox going to see a bounce after that early-season housecleaning?

Can't wait to see this first line up.

Nothing posted. I’ll take a guess despite all I know about Tracy is he is a former Dbacks infielder who just saw his career evaporate by age 26, but hung on for several more years.  Ok that saud

Duran LF

Anthony/Yoshida DH. (Is Roman back yet?)

Contreras 1b

Abreu RF

Story 2b

Mayer SS

Durbin 3b

Rafaela CF

Wong C

Oh no -- two lefty batters hitting back-to-back, 3rd and 4th in the order.

What could possibly happen if foes bring in a southpaw reliever with the game on the line?

How about: anything.

I had a couple changes right - Duran back to leadoff (first suggested by 5Gold but I agreed), and keeping Wong’s hotter bat in the lineup.

Not at all on board with Monasterio starting at SS instead of Mayer.  But I shouldn’t be so shocked to see him starting today either…

The Sox seem to be struggling with RHP, too.  In fact, some of those lefties - notably Duran - have been doing better vs southpaws…

And some of their righty hitters are pathetic vs. southpaws. The season is so Pretzel Logic.

Yes, I'm dying to be a star

And make them laugh.

I'm good with Monasterio starting (I like what I see with him), but surprised to see him at SS.

I said on other post they need balls and common sense to realize Story is not an everyday SS anymore. This is more or less the best we have IMO. Let’s go!

Mayer is a better defensive SS than Story, IMO. Since both suck equally at bat, why not play Mayer at SS and Story at 2B?

Let's see if Tracy has the same "loyalty" issues as Cora.

While Durbin has the worst numbers than anyone but IKF, he has shown some signs of life- unlike many others on this team.

Yup the guy at the end of the phone blew that one.

Because Mayer is a platoon player, and the players that he platoons with are better at 2nd.

I'm not a fan of the sacrifice, but if you don't sac the #9 hitter, with a guy on 1st, -0- outs, and a 0-0 game, then you will never sacrifice.

For me, Story and Yoshida should be role players moving forward. They are not everyday players in my book. Let the youngsters play & take the load, no matter what. If you are going to die, die of something at least.

more great base running, Cora's fault

It’s gonna take time to eradicate bad practices.

I was not serious about blaming Cora, that was all on the sleepwalking ballplayer, what you see is what we got, and it is not amounting to much.
