Rubber match between two underperforming teams, though I suspect the Padres will take a large step back this season. But the Red Sox, I fully expected them to be better than this start.

If we want more good news, James Thibbs, who we acquired for Devers and our genius GM flipped for Dustin May hit 3 more homers last night in AAA. 7 homers in 8 games to start the season.

how any GM could think that May was worth anything is beyond me. EVERYONE said Bresloverpay overpaid in that deal. of course he did. because he's a f***ing idiot.

Yeah it was considered an overpay as soon as it happened. He traded two of the teams top prospects for a f***ing rental of washed Dustin May and Johan Oviedo who could very well need another arm surgery. 
 

At least he traded Devers to free up money that I was told was to allegedly re-sign Bregman and now I’m watching Caleb Durbin at third,

That deal was just stupid.

Trading Tibbs for a rental would hardly be unprecedented.  But from the Dodgers?  Theyre clearly not selling!! And with no August deadline, why are they trading pitching in July?  Hint: they don’t expect much if anything from him…

I doubt Bregman has much of a slugging career left in him, abd he’ll likely be an albatross before that deal is done.  But the idea of getting Ketel Marte, Isaac Paredes (at Fenway) and a few other names that popped up tjis off-season was certainly appealing…
