All of the other teams in AL East are around .500 right now. So still too early to panic!

It would be nice to see some glimmer of the team we thought might bring us joy, but you are right.

We will have to either draft or stock up on starting pitching to trade for a young legit 30hr bat under control since our clown owner won’t go 30m per for one. We’ll have to win with pitching most nights now since we don’t have one guy who has hit 30hr in a year. We’ll have a LOT of 240-270 type hitters so it’s a very streaky lineup with nobody who strikes fear in any MLB starter,

I don’t see more than 84ish wins. I hope I’m wrong, but this team doesn’t have that good vibe. Breslow has put together an unbalanced lineup and Cora seems like he’s checked out.

We already had a stockpile of starting pitchers this offseason. We dealt them in deals that included Gray, Contreras and Durbin (though that trade was mainly for the draft money and pick). If we wait long enough to develop more guys, another few years will have passed.

We did trade a lot of rotation depth, plus some farm starters, but we also added...

Suarez

Gray

Oviedo

Bennett

and had hopes for Crawford & Sandoval's returns.

On the farm, we got Bastardo back and drafted a bunch of college pitchers that are not 4-5 years away from the majors.

(BTW, Priester has 0 IP in 2026.)

I'm not lamenting the loss, just stating that they had high level depth and used it in trades recently.

Plus, the return for Priester is still largely TBD.

At least Kyle Harrison's injury wasn't that severe!

Hey, we no longer have the worst record in the AL.

We are currently tied for the 3rd/4th worst w TOR.

In terms of GB not winning %, we are tied with 4 teams for the the 10th best record in the AL.

We are 2.5 GB the 4th best AL record.

Whodathunk the Rays would be #1 and MIN #2?

The A's are 4th and Rangers 5th!
