This is more important than just winning a series.  Establishing a minimum-wage #3 is one of the most valuable things a team can do.  If we develop 2-3 good SPs (not even great), you can throw $40M-45M at a guy like Skubal without checking with your minimum-wage accountant.

Masa in LF is no surprise to me. I said a few weeks ago Masa was not going to take up a roster spot just as a backup DH. Masa is also scheduled to play 3 out of the next 5 games. 🤔

Contreras with a nice defensive play for the double play. Duran has also made a couple nice plays today. 
 

funny that NESN showed Duran robbing that homer two years ago, I was at that game and describing the play to my girlfriend right before they showed it.

Terrible job managing by Cora. He could've started Duran on a 3-2 count to stay out of a double play.  They would've had another run.
