Wait--don't we already have enough 'game threads'?  one for ST February, another for ST March. another for WBC ...  why a separate one for US vs. whoever?  (one that needs a separate log-in?)

And btw, contrary to what you say, log-in credentials to TalkSox do not work on that new thread.

Looks like we'll be getting some Antonio Anderson today. Maybe he's learned to hit this offseason?

Leadoff hitter Kristian Campbell as the second lowest average and OPS of the starting lineup (lowest is #8 Sogard). He struggled last spring as well. Not really making a strong push for anything but an extended AAA stay.

K/W is up to 9/1, often against minor league pitchers.  This is worrisome.

All true, but one 3 for 4 game changes all those KC numbers. (OK, not the K/BB one.)

It'd have to be 3 for 4 with a HR. Even then, he'd still be behind a lot of people. The numbers are what they are. It's his second straight slow spring. His career ST OPS is below 600. He hasn't been the same guy since '24.

Except it's not spring, yet. (LOL)

Are ST'ing games even half over, yet?

This makes me sad.  I'm pulling hard for this guy.

Don't get sad over a 10 game sample size, especially the first 10 games after a long winter off.

I think we're sad about the 100 games before that bleeding into this season.

He actually did better in his last 14 games with the Sox in 2025 (.739) than he is doing in ST'ing 2026 and the end of his 2025 farm season.

The longer he goes, the more worried I get, but I still am optimistic about his chances.

Thank you. It's bigger than the ST'ing one.

his extension, after one good month in the big leagues, was just freakin' stupid.

The extension was 5 games into his career.
