Moon, you kind of created this poster by remarking how smart Fred's posts are.

Im right more often than I’m wrong. I get that you don’t like it. Maybe study the game more?

Chapman was used, last night, thanks to I Campbell.

Do we want to burn Chapman out? Wouldn't that be more idiotic?

How many pitches did Chapman throw last night?

A: 3

That hardly even counts.
I hope this loss doesn’t come back to haunt us. Yes, I blame Campbell-but also the witless manager.

Going into this game Weissert had given up 1 run in his last 7 games and 7.1 IP.  Plus he had not pitched since Wednesday.

Going into this game Whitlock had given up 1 ER in 18 games/innings and had not pitched since Friday.

Chapman pitched both Friday and Saturday.

I'm not saying Chapman wouldn't have gotten the save, but am saying the other guys in the bullpen need to do their jobs.

i won't disagree with that but I personally don't trust GW

It is also about having to warm up too.  just saying....

Oh, heck.  I agree with him every time I think he's made a good point, which he has in fact done.

Plus I myself am finding it a littler harder to be optimistic when the bullpen has been absolutely rotten in the last 2 games.

And let's not forget that today Anthony, Story, Yoshida, and Rafaela were all hitless.  Anthony was especially egregious because he left a lot of guys on base.  Twice he made the last out with 2 men on base.

What's most painful to me is that Crochet pitched another gem, 7 IP and 1 ER, and the bullpen butchered it.

Could you please post his good points. It shouldn't take long.

Max, some here think this is a super good baseball team. It's not. Winning 3 game series should be good enough. Obviously, it's not.

This is not a super good team, but it's definitely competitive and better than the last 3 seasons.

Before the Miami series, I said the Marlins would be tough because they were 30-32 on the road.  However, today I expected the sweep and, thanks to Crochet, it was definitely in our grasp--until the bullpen collapsed for the 2d game in a row.  So I'm very disappointed.

Next up, the Orioles with May, Buehler, and Giolito on the mound.  I hate to say it, but I think 2/3 is the best we can do.  Today they whipped the Astros @ Houston, 12-0.

That's way too much nuance for Fred.

I realize that. But at the end of the day baseball isn’t a sports for wimps. Today we lost a game because Cora refused to ask him to pitch the ninth. I’d have told him he’s pitching (I doubt he would have refused ) and just do the best you can-give us what you have.

Face facts: Cora cost us this game. All we can hope for is that it won’t matter, but the race is very close and all the games count.

Of course Chapman wouldn't have refused.  Cora doesn't want to burn him out because if he does we're screwed.  You calling for Cora to be fired for it is ridiculous yet not surprising to anyone who's familiar with you.

You really should try to pay attention more. You could certainly learn something from my posts.

He should be fired but not just because of today’s blunder. I’m not the only person who has called for him to be fired. Not now-at the end of the season.

Fred never had to pitch in T-ball.

I never played or heard about T-ball until 10 or 20 years ago--and I think it's sheer genius.

In the movie Mr Baseball, Tom Selleck's manager-coach has him hit balls off a tee to help adjust his swing.

After today, it would be hard to trust him.  But let's not forget that Whitlock also stunk today.

Fred's negativity is a form of attention-seeking.  He craves all this back and forth that it generates.

Some truth in that.

It’s called “debate”. One person takes a position and another person takes a different position. If we all had the same opinion that would be called an “echo chamber”.
Echo chambers aren’t particularly interesting.

Whitlock has been pretty effective. I don’t trust the other GW nearly as much as.

How about the rushed 15-20 in the bullpen ?  The point is AChapman cannot pitch every game. and the other perks out there only needed 3 outs to win it

He threw THREE PITCHES in last night’s game! I think he could have managed a few more.

Think they only play 2 vs Os. Sweep, split or die

Whatever.
But what you see is what you get. I’d be posting the same thing here if no one gave me “the attention I supposedly crave”.
I comment on the positive and the negative aspects of this team. Seems some here are a bit thin skinned though….

Whatever you  think happened, we wasted a gem by Crochet. Our BP failed today.

You know nothing about the impact of last night on Chapman's arm.  You just don't understand the game.  That combined with your negativity makes you irritating.  SPLENDID SPLINTER is the farthest thing from a Pollyanna, the fact he can't take you any more says it all.
