Can Bello make it through 5 tonight?

As a known Bello hater, Bello likes pitching at Fenway and at night. LAA is 29th in BB rate and 2nd in k rate. I'm calling 6+ tonight. 🫣

They are 3rd in HR though, so unlike what they did last night Bello has to stay away from the long ball.

Sox need to back Bello, they usually do with some runs.

But if we had seen that group back on March 31, as a lineup in early June  , we would have been wondering who died ?

If you're looking for a winning streak by the Sox, here's some discouraging news. The Sox haven't won more than 2 in a row since April 22nd.

It's not good when I go into a game expecting to lose.  I try to stay hopeful, but like I said before, this team has worn me down.

4 years in a row of being mediocre will do that to you.

Brayan Bello, at No. 114 overall.

There are a number of familiar faces in the wide swath between the two current rotation pieces, including Chris Sale (No. 5), Nick Pivetta (No. 30), Nathan Eovaldi (No. 43), Michael Wacha (No. 96), Quinn Priester (No. 102) and Eduardo Rodriguez (No. 103).

The rest of the 2025 Red Sox are Walker Buehler (No. 116), Kutter Crawford (No. 130), Richard Fitts (No. 142) and Lucas Giolito (No. 145).

If you go 5 deep per team, there are only 150 slots. Just look at these rankings. We are pathetic.

I am so disgusted by our approach to acquiring starting pitching via injured players.

Instead of pissing away $10-20M, why not just pay $25-$30M and get an injury free starter.

Think how much money we've wasted on a guy like Giolito.

Thank God we traded for Crochet. I hope they learned their lesson. Pitching controls games. I would give up Devers and $15M for the pitcher from Pittsburgh. And I'm serious.

I don't want nice manager, nice GM. I want hard asses that can manage and acquire talent. We have failed. If things don't improve, it's time to implode the roster.

Get what you can for Duran, Abreu, Buehler, Giolito, Chapman, etc. Go get top of the line pitchers.

So Cora’s already decided that Mayer can’t hit left handed pitching.  That’ll help him develop.

It worked so well for Abreu. Cora can't be gone soon enough.

I saw he got the vote of confidence from the front office yesterday, so we’ve got that going for us.
