Why go through the motions of a walk with the risk of a wild pitch to load the bases.  Much better situation where you can get the force out at home, Maybe a DP.

Story has no options left and even if he did, he’s well north of 5 years service time, so he can’t be sent down without  his permission.

Hamilton is not the problem with this team; if your main problem is your backup middle infielder/pinch runner who has come to the plate 76 times all year, you’re in good shape.

Story has to be on a very short leash at this point.  Any move with Hamilton is  just rearranging the deck chairs.
