It might be time for Houck to go to the bullpen.  Possibly the Worcester bullpen.

Its May 12th, and this year he already has the TWO worst starting performances in franchise history…

yeah....there is NO way i'd let him start until he figures it out.

Starting to worry about Campbell. Not his slump or that umps make brutal strike calls on him regularly because he's a rookie, but whether he can stay in the majors with his batting style.

His weight transfer moves his whole body on every pitch, and all it takes for MLB catchers to check the check is a flared nostril -- which 9 out of 10 first-base umps can detect on an angle 90 feet away.

I can't help but wonder if Days Off Buehler is gonna end up a dead 20 mil contract. Stay tuned.

The Sox are big, but rarely successful, on reclamation projects.

Wizards get 6th pick and NBA rigs it so Mavs get #1 pick. Red Sox are down 11-0. I’m done with sports today

NBA is definitely rigged. Remember when the Knicks magically won the Patrick Ewing lottery?

The Houck experiment at SP has come to an end. Has to go to the pen now. We all thought he could finally turn into a good SP in 2015 but he’s nothing but a RP if anything. Last year was a fluke year.

At least the Sox didn't sign him to a big fat extension.

It may be meaningless because the game was already out of hand but Sean Newcomb did go 5 & 2/3rds in relief on 98 pitches giving up 2 earned runs and no walks.      He did surrender 9 hits, so not exactly dominating.

In other news, K. Campbell extended his profound slump by going 0-4 with 2 K's adding to his last 15 game performance of .200/.573 with 21 K's.   Mlb's pitchers will find your weak spots and exploit them.

That is one reason all the calls for Mayer may be exciting but little guarantee of actual real results.  Anthony hopefully is the exception to the rule and could bang the ball .

That was the kind of start where you end up reading the pitchers went on the IL, the next day.

Man, Houck looks awful.

I thought newcomb did an outstanding job of saving the bullpen by finishing this up.

tomorrow is another day!!!!

I am hopeful the hotel restaurant can give Duran and story food poisoning  so we can call up Mayer and Anthony

Compared to Houck Newcomb looks like Sandy Koufax.

Actually I thought Houck looked a lot like Koufax tonight.

He certainly pitched like a 90 year old man with arthritis…

Story's contract is keeping Mayer in the minors.

But not Grissom’s or Hamilton’s…

s***** time right now when it comes to sports in boston. Crapola. Celtics down 1-3 and lose one of their best players to likely an achilles injury and off course you have the even .500 red sox who have zero winning consistency. Bruins sucky year. Pats maybe hope but i have my doubts. Still don’t have much offensively.

At least there's consistency on the forums. Dedicated fans type daily posts and never have a bad take.

Just ask any one of us and we'll be able to defend the opinions of the three most valuable contributors on the board: me, myself and I-phone.

houck is certainly having a rough time of it.

Don't know what happened, he looked pretty promising until this year.

Receiving the Tigers broadcast and learned that 50 percent of the balls Campbell puts in play are grounders.

46.7%, so it’s close.

But did the Tigers’ broadcast mention the league average is 42.2%?

They had the third worst record in the NBA!

If the NBA fixed the lottery, why did LeBron end up in Cleveland?

If the NBA did a solid for the mavs they should do one for us next season. I expect a  rough year for the celtics. Tatum likely will miss a year.
