AL East OPS>.700 (Qualified Players)

1 Yankees (7)

2 Red Sox (6) plus Refsnyder who leads the team with .967, can he play 1B?

3 Rays (3)

3 Jays (3)

5 Orioles (1)

Rafaela is now up to .644. Casas is stuck around .583 (he's just happy when he calls the balls and strikes and the umpire agrees with him)

Orioles change out ownership with deeper pockets. New owners then sought advice from John Henry.

I don't think that's the issue with the Orioles. They just couldn't re-sign Burnes and then added no other pitchers to make up for it. They had a decent enough free agency on the offensive side.

I'm not sure they made up for losing Santander on the offensive side, either.

The Orioles had a shocker of an off season. To have all that youthful talent and fail to supplement it with good pitching is bordering on criminal.

Crazy.

NBA Playoffs, NFL Draft, and NASCAR was on the docket for me this weekend, so the Red Sox were on the back burner. Good to see the Red Sox come back, and win 2 after losing the first one. Looks like the bats came alive yesterday, and padded some of those OPS that everyone raves about. I know they look better now, but that’s a little misleading, because they lost a lot of games when they were scuffling when the OPS weren’t so high. Hopefully they take the bats with them to Toronto.

Cursed with grinchy owners.

Despite most of us being frustrated with our offense, they are near the top of the league in most offensive categories.  If they could only cut down on the strikeouts...

Anyway, it was nice taking the series from Cleveland.  If we could stop taking 2 steps backward after taking 2 steps forward, we might be able to stop hovering around .500.

The Orioles attempting to replace Corbin Burnes with 42 year old Charlie Morton, who is currently 0-6 with an era over 10 and impressive -1.2 BWAR has looked laughably stupid.

At least they beat Yankees tonight

Morton is now a bullpen arm for them. 😎

O's went for the salty old dog, but getting Klubered means he's not been worth his salt. His arm doesn't need to soak in epsom salts as much as it needs smelling salts.
