Could be he's tired, but I think Bello is missing the strike zone because he's afraid to throw strikes.

Seems to happen when he pitches out of the stretch.

No, he’s just not a good control pitcher.

Great catch by Smith for the 3d out!!!

Hamilton stinks on defense. No excuse for every throw to be in the dirt.

In the 2d, 3d, and 4th innings, he was throwing good stuff and getting strikes.

For everyone who was wanting the Sox to throw a lot of money and years at Jordan Montgomery, he has 3 wins and a 5.48 ERA. His ERA over his last 6 starts is 6.61. He is getting lit up. It is another example of why you should spend big bucks on older pitchers who weren't that good for most of their careers. Montgomery 41-37 with 3.78 ERA for his career. Certainly not worth 20 million a year or anything close to that.

Yep, spend money spend money crowd.

Fan base here are typical gamblers. They only tell their friends about cash winnings. Silent when money is lost.

This homeplate ump likes to call strikes, which I'm in favor of. I hate batters who are up there looking for BB's.

Bello off the books for the win, but could get a loss if the Sox don't score again. So far they have left too many on 3B when they had chances to crush the Tigers.

This assumes Tigers score on Slaten again

Sox scoreless in the last 3 innings after scoring in 1st, 2d, and 3d.

Tigers have 9 hits to the Sox 5.

Ref pinch-hitting for Hamilton, who has one of the Sox measly 5 hits. So Detroit brings in a righty reliever.

The problem with a man on 1B is that the 1Bman is covering the line robbing Abreu of a double and a tie game. Urshela , and any other former Yankee is a curse on humanity

Yup.

Brayan K'ed the first guy, then a dribbler to short for a hit. That may have been the place to go get Bello.

The problem with a man on 3B is the SOX can't knock him in.

This is how a .500 type team stays at .500. Let an opponent hang around and not slam them when the chance is there. Coasting on a 3-0 lead, next thing you know you are down 4-3 without anybody actually getting a big hit off you.
