Brayan K'ed the first guy, then a dribbler to short for a hit. That may have been the place to go get Bello.

With a day off tomorrow I saw no reason to bring Bello out for the 7th. Cora just should have been happy he got 6 innings from Bello.

Huge dinger from Devers. Huge.

But game still very much in doubt.

Sox have had a bunch of hard hit balls caught.

Devers sucks. He only hits solo homers and when they don't count.

Agree completely. Plus he hit that one to the wrong field. He did start the double play, though. And he does have 2 of the 4 rbi's.

Nice grab by Devers, but a fantastic throw on the money and in time. Edited by Maxbialystock

I think Cora always has reasons for what he does. People don't always like the reasons.

I say what I'd do, but I never pretend to know more than Cora.

I think being a DH is about as good as a day or rest. On days off, players still take batting practice.

Does Kenley ever have an easy 3 outs ? He gets it done but always on the edge. That should have been for the win. Now get it in walkoff fashion.

Ref needs to play (DH mostly) everyday.

He is even hitting RHPs better than LHPs.

If we starts slumping, then try someone else.

I feel bad for Bello. It looked like he was going to go 6 with less than 3 runs (for once,) but the 7th bit him in the ass. (Slaten let an inherited runner score.)

He just can't seem to give a start without a mini meltdown.

WTF Cora @! Pulling Abreu for a guy with no MLB AB's

Well Moonlight Westbrook showed some plate discipline and earned a walk , so he has a PA but no AB. Also Cora just burned his bench.

Abreu really struggles v LHPs.

.468 in 2024

.449 career

Not great in the minors

Hell of a spot to place a guy's 1st time at bat in MLB.

My issue is Wong swinging at a 2-0 pitch from a guy whose thrown 10 balls in his last 11 pitches…

WTF vegasbob! Cora makes absolutely the right call--see moonslav's data on Abreu vs lefties--and you blast him.

Booser not fooling anyone today…

Well, the first hit wasn’t exactly roped. It wasn’t even a hit.

But the last two hitters have nailed the ball.

Edit - 3 hitters

Edit - 4 hitters

New York costs the Sox at least 2 runs with that bad review call.

He did hit it solid, but you have a point. Plus he hit it to RF which is much deeper than LF.

Wong should have topped a dribbler between the mound and third and this would have been a win. Flyballs to the warning track are only useful with man on 3B , less than 2 outs
