Hope Brayan knows he can't crow hop in front of the mound like that warmup toss, Hah. Or perhaps with an arm like his, he is thinking maybe RF on days he is not pitching, to get Ohtani like money in a couple years.

Kutter Crawford should be happy to have another short arm thrower in the rotation with him.

He was just warming up.

That is not his normal delivery.

I suspect he works out.

Not all who work out and look like that take roids.

I'm giving him the benefit of doubt. I do worry about injury to guys built like that.

No! It HAS TO BE steroids!!

MLB is willing to accept photographs that include muscles as proof of PED usage!!

Hey, the guy managed to get in 168 games over the last 2 seasons!

Super-muscularity always helps baseball players stay healthy. Just ask Giancarlo Stanton.

These overly bulky guys get hurt more than others in all sports- even football.

Ideally, we should DH him to limit those chances, but we have Yoshi for that, and O'Neill is a decent defender, especially in LF.

That’s actually supports him NOT being on steroids, when you realize what the actual function of steroids is…

I can't even believe you're being serious.

No, he's being serious. The main benefit of steroids is enhanced overall recovery, all of the other stuff is actually secondary.

Why?

Steroids help with the biosynthesis of complex proteins, which is biologist-speak for promoting the healing process. Haven't you ever had a doctor prescribe steroids for you?

This is the science speak for what I alluded to above. Stop being such a smart-ass notin.

What about the side effects of prolonged use? One is an increase in ligament and tendon injuries.

Yes, for very short term use only.

A fair point.

However, O'Neill has been sidelined with a wrist injury, a groin injury, a hamstring strain. Probably a few others. These seem like typical baseball player injuries that on their own, are not indicative of long term steroid usage.

However, I can only find reported injuries. He may have had some secondary ones that didn't get in the papers...

Nothing suspicious about working out, unless it's anything more than situps, pushups and throwing a medecine ball!

I suspect St. Louis gave up on him for good reason.

But hey, one team's trash is another team's...Allen Craig.

Grady Sizemore was roided out of his brains.

Barry Bonds - 2,986 games

Sammy Sosa - 2,354 games

They didn't sign him to a long term deal. If he gets an injury, it's not a problem.

Andy Pettitte famously took steroids to be injured all the time from what I remember.
