While I agree and think Bauer is done in MLB, I cannot look at him the same since settling in civil court is very, very different than being found not guilty in criminal court. Civil court is about personal squabbles that are not necessarily legal matters…

If he truly wanted public opinion on his side, he would have taken the civil trial to Judge Wapner's Animal Court or at least the new Justice for the People with Judge Milian.

One thing's for sure: the Red Sox' owners are guilty of not paying market value to upgrade their big league pitching staff, causing bored and desperate fans on message boards to discuss turning to accused reprobates as an option.

Considering all the women that get molested on the subway in Japan, Bauer was probably seen as a model citizen.

As an FYI, he was on the same team as Imanaga and had worse stats.

Well you can f*** off right back. Dude was proven innocent in a court of law.

No he wasn't.

You strike me as someone who has done next to no reading up about the startlingly similar details four separate women have brought up when accusing him of rape, including the report from the people who did inspections of the damage imparted on the pubic/vaginal areas of one of the women and the damage his 'rough sex' beatings did to her face.

Is it any wonder that most women who suffer sexual assault don't report it as they don't think they'll be believed when you've got f***ing clowns like this guy saying s*** like - "How he wants to f*** is his deal. We just need him to get guys out."

We've done worse.

I find it interesting that him and his lawyer have text messages of those woman talking with each other and collaborating their storys. That's normal...ain't it Norman??? Also, when Bauer texted her saying that he had stopped and asked her if she was ok and she did not tell him to stop she responded"yeah I know" Also plenty of texts of HER soliciting him into having sex and chocking her out. Dude, woman are freaks, I've been asked to dosome pretty f***ed up s***. This of it this way, if all that was legit true, the only way I could see the cops NOT arresting Bauer is because he wasable to produce such texts; of her soliciting him into choking her out andother acts. Look it up, the texts are online.

Women are conniving, and yeah 90% of sexual assault accusations are accurate, but they get believed 100% of the time and there is almost ZERO repercussion for that 10%. A woman could literally ruin your life tomorrow and there's nothing you can do about it if you're a man.

I get that Bauer is a PR nightmare, also probably past his prime, and not worth the headache by any means. But there's just as much evidence, if not more he was falsely accused than the other way around. But yeah, whatever, Bauer isn't worth it for so many other reasons. But we can can, or at least we SHOULD put the he's a sexual assualter accusations to bed.

Also, I think most people who suffer from sexual assault would also want to see people who make false allegations face justice. It's a two way street.

WHat makes you say I'm a low life?

I was the biggest hater of Bauer when it looked like he was a scum bag. Then new information came out and I changed my mind. I suppose that is beneath people like you.

Not once in your post did you dispute the facts. Did you even look them up? or are you still living in the world of 5 years ago.

Good thing Kimmi isn't here any more, I guess.

I hope there's no other women here having to read this s***, either.

Breaking news: There has been a derailment of TalkSox engine # 9. Let's please try to get it back on track .

It's too late... The engine is on fire... It hit the Red Sox ownership thread... We'll see if JBay can put it out.

If this thread is locked by mods, it's because JBay cares more about Henry's checkbook than open discourse on TalkSox.

Women are not believed 100% of the time, or there would be more convictions than a tiny percent.

Let's ignore the 'facts' you've got wrong on Bauer, just taking the sheer stupidity of the point 'women get believed 100% of the time' is something maybe you could educate yourself on? (Who am I kidding?)

Based on correlating multiple data sources, RAINN (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network) estimates that for every 1,000 rapes, 384 are reported to police, 57 result in an arrest, 11 are referred for prosecution, 7 result in a felony conviction, and 6 result in incarceration

Still, those conniving women, eh?

Right, because there are only woman victims.

Now, unfortunately these types of cases are very much so he said/she said and there's just never enough proof to convict someone. Another reason for that is because victims of sexual assault both woman and men often wait years and years to come forward because they live many years in shame, or fear, or even confusion, which is unfortunate because the number one reason why men disbelief woman is because they often wait years to come out.

I really don’t want to dive into my personal experiences again, because I harbor guilt, it almost makes me feel like a phony using it as some kind of bullet point but I know for a fact when victims see these types of stories it can cause them to relive some of that trauma.

I was 100% percent against Trevor Bauer when the original story came out, it made me relive many of my own past traumas, but new evidence came out that makes it look painstakingly obvious Hill was trying to extort money out of Bauer. The proof is literally in her text messages. But this is the tragedy of the world we live in today. Once the stone is cast, the ink is dried and the opinions are set in stone and men can’t even debate a real topic, with real conflicting reports, with real new evidence without being called some kind of sexists. Facts aren’t sexist, they're not femine, they're not masculine, they’re not good, they’re not bad, they are what they are. Those 10% of men deserve justice, just as much as the 90% of men and woman do who are victims of sexual assault.

Just as a reminder, this is how we are acting when he's not even on the f***ing team. What do you think would happen if he signed in Boston? It would be a nightmare. This would get litigated over and over in the press, online and elsewhere with incorrect info (both pro and against Bauer). What a disaster.

It's just a layup to not sign this guy.

I hope tomorrow we can go back to being normal and fight about the 2022 trade deadline again.

I've put my personal opinions aside on the issue and don't want Bauer here. Right or wrong, it doesn't matter, the reality is he's a PR nightmare.

My point was that women are not even close to believed 50% of the time, let alone 100%, as you stated.

Also, is it possible there was a crime committed, AND the woman tried to make some money off it and that could explain some of the texts we have read.

Also, do we know those texts are 100% accurate and complete? No doubt, they look damning to the accuser, but we don't have all the facts, and never will.

In these cases, I'm not sure anyone ever knows enough to make a final judgement, except those who were there.

Red Sox ownership should be blamed for this entire thread for trading Mookie Betts.

When idiots refuse to pay market value to a Hall of Famer in his prime, then fans are left debating who to sign instead, which includes all the other lesser humans who don't feed the homeless in disguise because they're so humble.

The last ballplayer fans need to root for is a guy who heaves the baseball over the centerfield fence to show up his manager.

At this point, Bauer is just message board fodder. The chances of him pitching for any team in MLB are probably less than the chances of me doing so. (My record is clean, but my “fastball” couldn’t get a speeding ticket on the Pike, and I mean East of Worcester.)

Nothing is close right now. Scott thinks I can get more out of them…

Depends on your command.

Directly East of Worcester is the town of Needhim, among the neighborhoods of Needasmanyaspossible. But if you veer to the South, you get to Deadarm.

As long as this forum goes without a adding a legitimate starting pitcher, it continues to spiral into Brainfree...
