Seven right bats against Texas lefty starter Keuchel, who might not last long.

Come on, Splendid Splinter lead us to a genuine 10 win run. Get us well over .500. Tonight's lineup looks like one that should been in place all season

And with Nicky P. throwing, well we still have a chance if these other 9 can hit a bunch. Nick actually has been about all you can expect from a #4/#5 on a good staff, but this year he needed to go above and beyond.

I sense a win coming on. That was not possible after last night's 8th inning unproductive meltdown. Then deja vu in the 9th with a far different outcome.

splendidsplinter is the man, Texas is the right team, Pivetta is the right starter, the lineup is solid, and the bullpen terrifies me.

What happened to 'one game at a time?' A ten game winning streak; that's asking a lot, but as the ultimate optimist, I'll give it my best shot. We all love the SOX and it would be a much less painful season if the SOX could at least finish over .500. Go SOX!

Agree completely.

I wonder if Pedey would be interested?

I hope they try him. They gotta do better than what they've been running out this season--none of whom is anyone you would turn on a game to listen to. Keep looking!

I agree. Mazzy, Youk, and Millar just don't cut it for me.

Good thought. I know Pedey liked talking about baseball. But not everyone is cut out to do it on radio or TV.

To be honest, however, I seldom turn the sound on. I did however like Eckersley a lot when he did the pregame show.

One would think JDM should be hitting 8th. Or JDM should sit and Pham could be DH. That would get Refsnyder on the lineup.

Many agree with you, but JDM is likely to keep DH'ing.

Don’t see it myself. For one thing, he lives in Arizona. Another factor is his sons are 13, 10 and (just turned) 9. I don’t see him leaving that given the amount of commitment that a broadcasting gig would entail

After last night, I'm not sure I blame Pivetta for being ultra cautious with Lowe.

Turns out, Pivetta was right. Too bad about Devers foot missing the bag.

Yup, that doesn't sound promising.

I'd leave Arizona in a heartbeat, but agree the 3 sons are a showstopper. Plus Pedey shouldn't need the money.
