Brayan "The Donkey" Bello vs Dilly "Al" Bundy for Minnesota

Bello still looking for MLB win #1 , after 4 starts/2 other appearances . Big time ERA but of more concern to date is the WHIP of 2.09, even with 22 Ks in 22 innings. Brayan's last start (8/24) vs Toronto showed much improvement, so expect good stuff from him tonight.

Bundy at 7-6, is not a K pitcher with only 77 in 108 innings, but his WHIP is at 1.21 for the year . He's the type that can make the Sox struggle if our hitters don't show patience and hit'em where they (Twins) ain't.

The BP mainstays should be available tonight, if needed. Sayonara Sawamura and Davis.

Arroyo in lineup tonight at 1B. Member last time he made 1 stretch, and pulled a muscle. Glad to se Cora keep his bat in the lineup, which it should be. Franchy in CF, and don’t like that.

Ol Franch -- good ole or bad ole -- maybe the worst defensive Red Sox player in recent memory, because he can't play outfield nor first base. But here's how bad this '22 team is: most of us would rather see Cordero in centerfield than Duran anywhere. At least Franchy looks like a nice guy, is friendly with the media, and from what I've observed, is well-liked by teammates in the bigs, Triple A and Quadruple A.

So screw Toronto's Alex Manure for throwing at our Franchy.

Plus he has 4 dingers in his last 6 games and has raised his OPS to a moderately respectable .724.

We do have an opening at DH, next season. We are likely to go "light" somewhere, and maybe DH is the spot. Current contenders are...

L Cordero

L Hosmer

L Casas

L Enmanuel Valdez

R Pham

R Dalbec

R Arroyo

I sure hope we can do better than a platoon from this bunch, but we have a lot of slots to fill and may not choose to fill all of them.

Wonder whether Corra puts the lineup and the positions. These experiments are getting ridiculous.

SOX can't hit fast pitches, the SOX can't hit slow pitches. They're just a half-fast team.

is that a witticism from a half-wit ??

Those lack of fundamentals have killed the Sox all year.

This is one of the reasons Cora has to go. This team is poorly coached.

Just flipped on the game in time to watch Verdugo playing brain dead baseball and Martinez, who is finished, swinging at a ball a foot outside.

The team wasn’t ready to play.

Again.

That’s on Cora.

Dipshit Dugo has been in the majors for a few years, it’s on him

yup.

Martinez is a black hole hitting in the middle of the order. He should eat the bench most of the times till the end of the season. He is useless.

How about putting some blame on the players? They are professionals, they bear a lot of responsibility for the lack of focus. At this level you shouldn’t need your daddy to get you ready to play.
