The Arizona Fall League is starting to wind down and in preparation of the end of the season, they have announced their yearly Fall Stars. The Fall Stars Game will be played on Sunday, November 8 as the American League and National League will send the best prospects in the AFL to face off against each other.
The Boston Red Sox have one representative out of their eight AFL prospects. Antonio Anderson, who has been one of the best hitters not just on the Mesa Solar Sox but for the entire league, will be taking part in the Fall Stars Game after putting together a fantastic season. He's also going to take part in the AFL's Home Run Derby.
So far through 16 games, Anderson is hitting .361/.500/.623 with five doubles, one triple, three home runs and 20 RBIs. He’s also walked 17 times to 20 strikeouts. With Mesa, he currently leads the team in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging, OPS, home runs, and RBIs. He’s also tied for the lead in doubles and walks.
Compared to everyone in the fall league, Anderson is tied for fifth in batting average, fourth in on-base percentage, and eighth in slugging and home runs.
