Story's career fWAR per game is just a little lower than Bogey's. And fWAR does take into account the Coors Park Factor.

The fWAR difference between the two is miniscule. But there are aspects of Bogaerts’ game the Sox do neeed…

I didn’t look at Fwar I only checked Bwar. And I didn’t say Story was better only that he’s of comparative value…at least that’s what I think I said.

Boston fans tend to over value their stars and under value others especially those who play in markets in fly over country, out of the major media spotlights.

Why Boston Red Sox might promote Triston Casas soon, perhaps as early as Tuesday; ‘He’s a phenomenal first baseman’

Why the hell not?

Why the hell not?

Because he can’t hit left handed pitching?

Because we are tanking?

If we end up signing Wong to play 2B, it will mark the third straight year Bloom has used his biggest signings at 2B, assuming Wong will be his biggest contract, this winter.

Kike $14M/2 (ended up in CF)

Story $140M/6 (may end up at SS)

K Wong ???/ ?

For that to continue, 2b has to just be a starting point, like an entry level position…

It was for Kike.

Many feel like it is for Story.

Wong might stick.

If the Sox sign Kolten and then Connor makes the team as a BUC, we’ll have two Wongs!! That’s gotta make a wight!!

Good one. Too bad we didn't also have Mitch White.

As in Steven Wright?

If you had to choose one position to not make any additions to, which one would it be?

A. Catcher: McGuire, Wong, RHern (Cottam/Hickey)

B. 1B: Hosmer-Dalbec, Casas (Kavadas/Northcut/Jordan/Binelas)

How about 2B vs DH? (Assuming Story goes to SS.)

A. Arroyo, EValdez, Downs (Koss/Yorke/Paulino/Bonaci)

B. Hosmer-Dalbec, EValdez/Refsnyder (Kavadas/Northcut)

Like an arm that can still play SS.

Boston Red Sox’s Frank German has 98-99 mph fastball ‘with really good life’ and 2.30 ERA at Worcester

We paid Ottavino's entire salary to get this guy.

Looks like he'll be in the pen for the Sox in 2023.

Bloom missed on Jake Dieckman (I'm sure he was hoping for better control) but he erased it by trading him away without having to pay his contract for 2023.

Secondary stuff needs work, but he should be a 6th inning guy next year.

It's permanently injured or compromised?

Reports are that it’s impaired enough that it won’t play at SS anymore.

That seems about right. Perhaps he can move up to higher leverage situations as the season progresses.

His .469 OPS Against is the best by any pitcher in the Sox farm system with over 40 IP. 57 Ks in 41.2 IP is nice. 18 BBs is a bit too high, but his 0.91 WHIP is very good.

I'm not doubting your statement, but all I read about was concerning 2022. I googled it and found nothing about 2023.

He might be better suited for second base. It is similar to shortstop , but a bit easier. I think a lot of his errors came on throws from deep short.
