Once again, you contradict yourself.

What you see is almost never there. A legend in your mind, and infamous at my local Planet Fitness. A star is born. Congratulations on a job well done. I’m outta here.

Again, making no sense.

i don't actually blame Bloom as I think he is just following directions from JH. Remember JH also blew up the Miami Marlins after they won a WS. I appreciate what JH has done up to about 2018 but now it is time for him to sell and sail off on his yacht.

Some there have posted that once Bloom finally gets fired, he'll never be rehired to run another club. But imagine if he goes into a different profession... and is tasked with cutting corners in a new industry.

Customer: "My burger tastes strange... almost as if the meat comes from a different animal..."

Waiter: "Well, the higher prices reflect sustained family fun: there's a singalong at dessert, and on Fridays staff wear yellow bibs... but we never said the burgers were still made out of meat."

Do it today, John Henry.

Even the City uniforms couldn’t do it last night. The word on the street is that the BOO birds were out at Fenway last night. No doubt friends of Henry’s, and Bloom’s. After a fake/gift win the night before the word also is that the Red Sox are a listless, lifeless, rudderless team. BOHICA fans.

My first name is Chaim, and I’m all to blame

My last name is Bloom, and I bring gloom, and doom

My boss is John Henry, and he don’t have a clue

But he’ll raise the ticket prices, and stick it to all of you.

These last two seasons really have been brutal, there's no way around it. I was sure that after last season they were going to really do better this year. But Bloom did a totally half-ass job this offseason. He did just enough to keep the team floating around the .500 mark again.

So the win Monday was fake?

Sounds like a song a Yankee fan would make up and sing to all his worldly friends

Then you're not blaming Bloom for badly constructing the team on April 1st or failing to bring in any useful reinforcements at the deadline? So he never gets blamed for anything? How Convenient! You might as well give him a contract for life because Bloom is now Blameless!!

"The Red Sox got smoked because of how the team was constructed on April 1."

"Then you're not blaming Bloom for badly constructing the team on April 1. He's blameless!!!"

I literally was blaming Bloom for his roster construction on April 1. WTH.

It’s pretty obvious to most Red Sox fans that Bloom is pretty much responsible period for everything from construction of the team to start the season to not getting any pitching, before, or at the deadline. The word in NE, and on the street, and anywhere else you venture in RSN is a lot different than you get mostly on here. Now is the future, and not what might happen in 2024, and beyond.

The FO is responsible for constructing the team. What are you talking about? Even if he didn't personally hand pick the players and it was the GM and not the CBO, Bloom's in charge so he gets the blame.

How much information do I need? I have a subscription to the Globe, I read some of the articles by Shaughnessy and the others and I look at some of the comments after the articles. I know the general sentiment is that Bloom sucks and needs to go. What else is there to know?

CHB is not the true pulse of anything. I feel like a better judge of how Sox fans feel is Jared Carrabis. He's not an ivory tower guy like CHB.

People said the same about "Ben the Boob."

To talksox Mass, and Shaugnessy is the bogeyman. It is quite hilarious.

Their job is to intentionally be negative 24/7. That's their gig.

That wasn’t me. Bellhorn or mvp, I think.

Not sure. Except for the part about it not being me…

I don't know what Kennedy quote you guys are referencing.

Awwww… the Sox losing made Old Red so happy he’s burst out into song…

Kennedy is such a bad liar that he could yell everyday for years that an election was rigged and stolen -- without zero shred of evidence -- and somebody somewhere still wouldn't believe him.

He's a car salesman. He's an outward facing guy to stand between JH and the public so that JH doesn't put his foot in his mouth the way guys like Angelos does.

So… not mvp. Probably Old Red. He’s always dropping some FO aQUOTE no one else bothered to listen to…

Then he’s not needed. Bloom hasn’t exactly mastered the art of talking to the public yet either…

Technically, their record is above .500 and they are doing better. If your only goal is to look at the standings, you may end up miserable though. They are on pace for 83 wins which is much more than a lot of people on here guessed them for. Shouldn't they be happy?

Nope. The only thing I remember about Bloom's preseason feature in the Globe (?) was the bottle of mediocre Whistle Pig that he brought to Spring Training.

If they’re going to have winter hot streak, some new pitching would help. Stop using Dinelson Lamet, Mauricio Llovera types.

At this point, your best option is the farm system. Maybe Portland’s Luis Guerrero can help…

Don’t tell me you’re trying the deadline, only to come seat at the 11th hour with a player who, oh he wasn’t going to get DFAd within the month, was going to be non-tendered at the end of the year.

I don’t want another GM trading away everything on the farm. But I’m ok with a GM dealing the occasional prospect for a helpful player. Bloom prefers horsing his farm and acting like a Flea Market GM…

Not sure he's quite there from what SoxProspects has said recently. I guess his stuff has ticked back a little. We'll need to see if he can do it in AAA and then maybe he can be a late season addition next year? Some of the younger depth arms are getting closer and they shouldn't have to rely on waiver wire garbage as much eventually.

Guerrero seemed like the closest above A ball who might prove immediately useful…

The FO definitely needs to start dealing some of the prospects sooner than later to actually help the MLB team. They need to pick the guys that will help the team and the guys they can move on from. They are just hoarding too much right now. We'll see what type of moves they make prior to the Rule 5 draft, but I don't know what to project for this group. They've made some really mysterious transactions the past few years.

Next year is Bloom's last contract year. I wouldn't be shocked if they let him go. I'd be shocked if they extended him. They shouldn't extend him IMO. He needs to earn it with a strong offseason and a playoff birth next season. Because we don't directly hear from John Henry, it's hard to really determine what the direction is that he sees for this club. All I've heard is that Werner wants to spend, Henry doesn't and they wish Bloom did more at the deadline.
