It’s what some people are thinking, And there is nothing to prove them wrong. I’m not saying I agree with this, but it is a terrifying thought

Personally, I think that analogy is way off.

He's a MLB hitter forced to swing one-handed.

He's the MLB clubhouse manager who thinks upgrading the jockstrap bin will equate to 2 more wins on the field.

Here is the question: Is Bloom a Tampa Bay mole or is he just incompetent ?

Incompetent? Some don’t think aBloom is that at all, and if the Red Sox just played in another Div they wouldn’t have finished as far as far as 21 games out of ist place.

What pick in the draft did they have? Top 5?

On here , we hear a lot of if, might, could, maybe and possibly. Then there is the hard reality.

And don’t forget Bloom has one arm tied behind his back, because of the budget, and the other arm tied behind his back, because that bad DD wiped out the farm.

Not even top 10

Interesting! So if we put every team together in one big league, the 2022 Red Sox wouldn't be in the bottom 33%? In fact, the 2022 Red Sox are getting the 14th pick in the draft, which out of 30 teams makes the almost exactly middle of the road. Like a perfectly mediocre team? They aren't actually the dregs of MLB?

Just a losing team that at times last year looked like the Bananas trying to play D, which was bad enough for me.

Check out the link I put up on Yoshida real eye opener

The fact Boris signed him so quick sounds like he thinks it’s the best deal he’ll get. Sounds like overpaying to me for a $100M unknown.

The guy is so bad on defense he only played defense in 39 out of 119 games, we bought an expensive DH

Yeah, he's going to split time between LF and DH most likely.

Their first priority was an even more expensive DH in Abreu.

Master strawman builder hard at work.

Finally, you get it.

So we have Yoshida, Casas, Hos, Dalbec all at Dh and an part time outfielder worse than Duran

No ML OF'er on the Sox is worse than Duran.

I also highly doubt all those guys are on the opening day roster. Duran is starting in AAA, and it’s more probable than not that both he and Dalbec start down there.

Hosmer may be released or traded by mid season. If Yoshida is the real deal, his bat is 100- thousand times better than those guys. He’s probably fine in LF. If Manny can learn how to play left im sure this guy will be fine if he’s a gamer.

They can hide his glove in LF for sure. The key would be making up for it in RF and that's not going to happen with Verdugo over there.

Doesn't it seem like it should be no professional OFer in the Sox' system is worse? Unless, it's a guy who can run faster or hit the ball further or jump out of the Polar Grounds in a single bound... or triple bound.

Well….are we getting 2022 Verdugo or 2021 Verdugo out there? I’ll gladly take 2021 Verdugo out there.

Seems like a weird gamble by the Sox though

Not on D, as I assume the talk is about, but remember, as compared to 2022, Verdugo was within 100 innings of JBJ in RF. It's not like our RF was GG, this year.

Innings in RF

526 JBJ (very good)

432 Dugo (meh)

163 Ref (OK)

124 Cordero (Ughhh-

108 Arroyo -Leee)

46 Duran (Horrific)

24 Ja Davis & 8 Almonte

Over half the innings were from Dugo, Cordero, Arroyo, Duran, Davis and Almonte.

We aren't even sure we're done adding to the OF. (Gallo is better than Dugo.)

Detroit Red Wing fans still lament a period in their history known as the "Darkness Under Harkness".

I sure hope this period in Red Sox history doesn't get looked back on as the "Gloom Under Bloom".
