He's already put up better numbers in AAA than Lars ever did. Lars topped out at AA.

Hmmm - He makes my all minor league team in some capacity lol

This is just an observation, the Sox because of greed have what they call a tier structure for ticket prices that’s to say if Texas or Pittsburgh are at Fenway you pay the standard ticket price. A team with some draw appeal like the Angles are the middle tier and the Yankees, Dodgers, Cardinals and the like are top tier, you pay as much as $40 or $50 more for the same seat for top tier teams, and when the Sox are going good people gladly pay those prices because tickets from other sources are even higher priced, So when the Sox are constantly sending me emails for hugely discounted tickets and season tickets, someone has taken notice in the organization that revenue is down.

Brandon Belt!!

It's going to be the offseason that Wil Myers finally makes his way to the Red Sox. He's RHB, plays 1B/OF.

I'm not sure, if JH and Bloom have already decided on Raffy.

I do think they have on Bogey, but I'm far from sure.

You dodged the question. Do YOU think the Bogey, and Raffy contracts should be known, and settled by now, and don’t you think it has to be known before you can do anything else going forward?? We already know it hasn’t been done.

I answered.

I don't think they know on Devers.

I think they say good bye to Bogey.

No, I don't think any one thing comes first.

They will offer Bogey what they think he is worth and whenever he responds, they go to look at plan B or C or ...

They know they need pitching. They will offer the pitchers they like what they think they are worth. They may sign before or after Bogey.

Of course, if Bogey says no, plan B might be to spend more on the pen or RF, and they will wait to make that choice.

Is this the type of answer you were looking for?

Maybe we can get an Ottavino type deal, where they give us something good to go with him.

I don't think the Sox are all that unique in pricing this way. I'd rather they charge more vs the Yankees than spread it out over the whole season.

He has a club option. Padres aren't pickup up that option.

For someone who’s big on how much money there is to spend, and if JH has to pay any tax, or not it would just seem to me you would have to know how much Bogey, and Raffy would cost, or if anything at all, which would mean more money to spend, or less money to spend, before you could move forward, but maybe that’s just me, and how I would do things. It seems to me at the moment the Red Sox don’t have anymore of a plan now than they did at the trade deadline, and are looking for that 3rd option at the fork in the road.

It's almost as if supply and demand effects prices......weird.

To be fair though, I think it's a somewhat recent development to adjust ticket prices based on the opponent.

We have no idea what their plan is.

Now that I think about it, I have no ideal how long the Sox have been doing this but I know if you ever buy your ticket in a secondary market (Stub Hub, Ticketmaster etc) it's been this way for a LONG time.

Belt’s long overdue. The Sox drafted him in 2006!

I realize that, but the big question is do they. If the trade deadline is any indication I’m not so sure. As I have voiced many times I’m not in the Bloom I trust camp, and to me this off season will go a long way in showing if Bloom is a Boy Wonder, or a Boy Blunder.

Padres will spend all off-season trying to unload Fernando Tatis Jr…

Right. The team has learned a few tricks from the scalpers. ;)

And it’s absolutely not limited to the Red Sox…

What's funny, though, is that you turn the fact you don't know the plan into thinking they don't have one.

They have done this a few years now, my only bitch is it takes an overpriced ticket and over prices it, I only see a few games a year so it doesn’t effect me that much, just checked ticket prices for remaining games, looks like big discounts on all tickets,

And you are going on what evidence that they do?

1. They absolutely have more knowledge of the Big Picture. They’re in The Room. Our primary sources are not even in The Room.

2. Chaim Bloom is like 40 years old and, unlike Epstein in 2003, doesn’t stand out from his peers due to his age. You just might have to change that to Man Wonder or Man Blunder…

Are you serious?

“Gee a bunch of random people on a Red Sox forum from varying walks of life and all completely unaffiliated with the Red Sox can’t determine what their plan is. If that doesn’t prove they don’t have one, I don’t know what will.”

We're much closer than you think. I do have a gorilla costume at home just like Theo!
