Not trying to bring anyone down here but remember MiLB are playing 6 game series now. Most of these guys have only pitched against one team, so if that one team has s***** pitching it makes for a great week for our prospects.

Still, it's very encouraging to see such a great start seemingly all around our system.

I think even finding success against poor teams can be a win during development.

WOO started the season off against the Marlins affiliate (ranked #6) and the next series was against the Phillies affiliate (ranked #26). I think it all evens out at some point.

I don't know much about WHERE the strength is for the Marlins affiliate, but I would imagine a low ranked system can be stacked at one level, and vice versa. Still, your point remains, that success is good for development.

Northcut with his second tater of the season!

Rafaela with his third tater of the season!

The first 6 hitters in the Greenville lineup could make this lineup special.

What are the chances that Groome debuts with the big club this season?

I’ve been predicting it all winter.

If Groome can stay healthy, he should debut (probably from the pen) this summer. He has a huge advantage over other system pitchers in that he’s already on the 40 man…

50-50.

Isn’t groome’s velocity way down from pre Tommy John levels. Looks like he is at 90-91 now on the fastball now. As opposed to 95-96 pre injury.

It's 50-50 because he's on the 40, Mata's on the IL and some of our starters have been known to be fragile, not because I think he's great.
