What does this even mean lol

I guess we should just expect him to continue making horrible posts and then just rage quitting when baseball gets "political" or posters call him "Mr Twitter."

Wasn't there another poster here (or a few) that used to do the same thing? One of them was also a dick to me for no particular reason

Getting rid of David Price was a genius move. He didn't want to play here. He has a lousy attitude. Good riddance. I thank him for finally pitching well in the 2018 playoffs but it wasn't enough to keep him here.

Yeah, I think he spent a lot of his time here looking for a fight, and that's not good when you travel on a plane with Boston media.

IDK. There's been so many posters that have come and gone. I tried harder to be a TS historian a while ago, but there aren't enough people around anymore to care.

A lot of people use these forums as a method of venting frustration with the current team. Sometimes, even when they post something that is really technically incorrect, pointing this out doesn't change their level of frustration.

This year's team has given us plenty of reasons to be frustrated. Expect a lot more cathartic posts the rest of the way...

There was a guy who got banned a couple years ago. He often posted pure gibberish. His screen name was Natick to NC, I think.

Begs the question: Are we seeing a reincarnation?

It'll be interesting to see if the Red Sox trade Vazquez. If they do, that would suggest that they really like C.Wong and see him as their future starting catcher. Due to the dearth of catching talent, you would think the Red Sox could get a quality young arm for Vazquez.

I don't believe they will trade Vaz without receiving his replacement in the trade.

Problem is Vazquez isn’t overall all that great a catcher. He has a powerful arm. Most of his other catching skills are average at best.

Catching talent is really poor right now. He's a top 5 catcher in the game. 3rd in fWAR since 4/1/19.

Here we are with 3 days left to see some trades take place. Will something occur for the Sox, or is the market just too flat? No one wants to giveaway talent so unless fair offers are made, maybe we stand pat.

The market will determine value. A team can trade for market value or get nothing in return for an expiring asset.

Think he gets moved?

Maybe? Hard to trade for a catcher midseason and get him up to speed with pitching staff.

Not sure we should be trading a Top 5 catcher on a reasonable contract, with no real replacement in sight.

You’d be including his younger replacement in the return.

That's a joke isn't it?

Not really.

In hindsight, it worked out really well that we traded him. But Price was traded before the pandemic shut baseball down, before it was known that Sale needed surgery, and before ERod's heart issues due to COVID. None of knew that we would have a shortened season and that Price would opt out. We could have had a good rotation.

At the time the trade happened, my feeling was that we need the starting pitching more than we needed Mookie. (That is not the same as saying that Price is a better player than Mookie.) At that time, I didn't think we should have traded Price.

I disagree about his attitude. He gets a bum rap on that.

What's weird to me is that his profile isn't found in the Member List anymore. For many banned users, they still show up in the List (pumpsie, dipre, etc.). SBF is also excluded from the Member List. He used to be there at one point.

I think you need to go back to being the TS historian. I like to know what's going on with our posters, past and present.

100% with you Bell.

You have to listen to all offers, but Vaz certainly should be considered a core players along with Bogaerts, Verdugo and Devers. I would also keep inexpensive players on one year contracts that could help us be respectable in 2021, while the rebuilding is in process.

Getting close to the trade deadline and hang’em Chaim is quiet. I would expect to at least hear rumors at this time.

Is Eovaldi being held out due to a calf strain or is he already designated in a trade and they are holding him out for that reason?
