Better than Graterol, IMO.

Great deal by the Red Sox. Wow, Downs and Wong.

Downs will be ready to rake in the majors next season.

Wong, too?

Wow, I mentioned him with Gray.

The kid isnt going to rake in the majors next season. He got in 12 games in AA. He’s likely ticketed back to AA with an outside chance to make it to AAA if he continues to rake. He’s got a chance to be a mid year call up in 2021

We ended up doing way better.

Can everyone finally give Bloom some credit and admit all of the chatter was nothing but HOGWASH!

We still need a 5th starter, but with Downs in the pipeline, we can trade Chavis.

I still don’t like seeing Mookie go, but I feel a lot better about this haul.

Well if this proves to be accurate then Bloom did okay. I agree this is a better deal than one that was originally constructed. Losing Betts is still a bitter pill but losing Price is a big plus. Can't say I ever warmed up to him. So in toto, I'll give Bloom an "Atta Boy"

Chavis was exposed. He is worthless.

Still can't believe we couldn't find a way to keep Betts here. The luxury tax isn't a secret, and he was coming to the end of his deal. Every time they negotiated with him, they low-balled him by 100M. We'd rather keep throwing money at JBJ and overpaying for the Eovaldi's of the world.

Really excited about the season now .Feel like we do have a GM that gets it and waits for the right deal .Next question is Pitching though and that’s big for this team after losing price .

Agreed. It sucks, but I'm convinced this was the only way to go.

It's better than getting nothing.

Or, we have a better chance at making a top offer, now that we reset than had we kept him and not reset.

Good luck finding another GM that wants to deal with our clown show front office after this debacle.

I don’t know you but I’ll tell you this if you can’t see what Bloom just accomplished for this team by not accepting a s*** sandwich you eat it man I’ll roll with Bloom .Our Brand new GM did damn good on this trade and if Benny ,JDM ,Vaz ,Devers ,Casas Verdugo ,Xander Sale ,Erod in the fold I bet you Bloom will have s s*** ton of suiters if any are made available .You should kiss his ass and say thank you

I wouldn't get too excited about Downs just yet. Having read his scouting report, his defense is still a work in progress. I don't think he will be ML ready until 2021 at the earliest.

Wow. Well that sure saves the Farm, doesn't it? And only paying Price $50 million to pitch for someone else? Bean-counters REJOICE!

He agreed to the original s*** sandwich that put them in this mess to begin with. Reports came out that the only reason it wasn't accepted was because the owners stepped in due to negative publicity. Thank him? Ok, sure.....thank you for trading the second best played in baseball.

The only positive thing about the argument that this is Bloom's brilliantly conceived scheme for getting Mookie to sign a long term contract with the RS is that no one, even its proponent, could possibly believe it. Just stop.

I like this a lot better than the original deal and a whole lot better than watching him leave after this season for a draft pick or maybe not even that depending on what happens with the investigation. Mookie is a great player but I really don't like the odds of giving anyone a contract for 10 years or more there is just an awful lot of risk. I have seen to many really good players get injured and never perform 100% starting with Lonborg, Tony C., Nomar and Dustin just on the Red Sox.
