NYY symbol is probably the most famous in sports worldwide (excluding soccer).

Call me sentimental and I am old, but i love baseball and the Sox. Every year, before the season opener, I always rewatch "The Damn Yankees", with Gwen Verdon, Tab Hunter and Ray Walston. It reminds me of my own desire, like Joe in the movie, to get out there for the Sox (he for the Washington Senators) and help them win a pennant. Its a dream and not achievable but still the wish is there. I still play softball and my oldest team mate is now 87 years old but we can still go out and give it our all. Something about baseball that grabs the fans and I admit to being one of those.

Chicago is a world class city with a large population that has mobility. Boston is another world class city. Many people from other locals migrate to Boston for school, employment, and such.

There are fans from many cities living in the Boston area. The New York teams have large contingents of fans living here. So it never surprises me to see opponents garb at Fenway.

This is true, and I'm sure there is a lot of true Cubs fans who've moved around, but man they are a huge bandwagon team, especially with recent success. I can't even begin to explain how many random Cubs stuff I would see all over Baltimore the past two years, where in the past it was 0.. and Baltimore is not a world class city where people migrate obviously lol.

Speaking of Chicago, It is an awesome city. I was able to visit Wrigley last year for the first time, and it was an awesome experience.

He was talking although of using JD in the outfield to make sure that everyone stays rested. I'm as anxious as anyone to see if he is as bad out there as most say he is. I doubt very much that he is. Pretty sure Cora has confidence in him out there.

I've seen JDM play LF in a few games...maybe half a dozen...and he's gotten the job done although he didn't look very comfortable out there

Martinez definitely isn't good in the outfield, but I don't think his defense is so bad that it'll literally kill the team. We've had much worse out there than him.

I’m waiting a Cubs vs Red Sox series in Wrigley. I’m going to do whatever it takes to assist LOL!

Wrigley and Jet Blue Park are in my bucket list.

That would be a road trip worth any cost.

Yeah! Last year I attended Fenway, the week when the Red Sox faced the Yankees and the Cubs. It was awesome; a life time expirence I would say but probably in Wrigley could be special as well. I’d like to expirence one game in those roofs outside Wrigley, it has always been a curiosity to me watch a game from there LOL.

If you liked Fenway, you'll definitely love Wrigley. there is certain stadiums/arenas in sports that just have a different atmosphere and experience, it is special. I've had the privilege of going to Fenway/Wrigley and Madison Square Garden in the past year, and they are just so different than the normal sporting events ill go to (Wizards games in DC, Sox games in Baltimore/DC, etc).

Cubs/Sox world series would be absolutely amazing, I've been hoping for one for a while.

A Red Sox/Cubs WS would be epic. Can’t imagine the cost of the tickets LOL!

The Sox survived with Manny in LF, they could survive with JD out there.

No doubt, but we'd be better with beni in LF-- all else being even.
