Pete Abraham is a very handy contributor to talksox--thru people like you.

@MarlyRiveraESPN

Rafael Devers told me he won't be running today but will be doing cage work; said he feels fine and, as he mentioned yesterday, has "no doubt" he'll be ready for Opening Day. Devers hurt his right knee last night in a collision at home plate with Cubs...

Pete Abraham's Twitter account is one of the best places to go for the latest updates on injuries etc.

I'm not so sure. He kind of discounted the lefty-righty things, so we may not see many adjustments based on who we are facing.

Line-up changes will result when he goes to the bench as often as he says he wants to, but I think the main pieces will basically stay pretty much in place.

Cora's comment about line up changes was in fact with regards to going to the bench often so that he could keep players healthy.

He was not talking about a lefty right thing.

He was talking although of using JD in the outfield to make sure that everyone stays rested. I'm as anxious as anyone to see if he is as bad out there as most say he is. I doubt very much that he is. Pretty sure Cora has confidence in him out there.

I thought I remember him saying something about putting your best hitters where you want them and not by lefty-righty, and that he was not big on platoons and pseudo platoons.

I could be wrong.

I just saw Vlad Guerero Jr. hit a walk-off homer in Montreal.

That was pretty cool.

It was cool ...he and little Dante are exciting players but won't ever be the players there pops where in my opinion .

Did you see the invasion of Cubs fans at jet blue park in both days? Last year in Fenway was the same. I was there —also you could see tons of cubs fans in restaurants, bars and in all kind of public places across the city of Boston. Probably they have the largest and the most loyal fans in baseball. Simply incredible.

I'm wondering if their fandom expanded quite a bit in 2016.

Is there a Cubs equivalent of a 'pink hat'?

Our fan base is great but recently the invasions of Cubs fans in almost every park is simply admirable.

LOL! Probably, but is great to see tons of families, kids, women, etc following a baseball team regardless it is Wrgley or other park.

Also, go to a baseball game these days is not cheap. Almost every park in Ft Myers and Arizona are sold outs LOL. Seems like everybody is in vacations this time of the year in the US. Cool!

Even in soccer, just few teams invade away stadiums as the Cubs fan do.

My daughter actually has a pink Cubs hat...

Is that mostly because their Florida fans never see them in the March, since the Cubs typically play all their ST games in Arizona?

Sox were filling visitor stadiums long before they won a WS. What took the Cubbie fans so long?

I'd say that the top 3 fanbases are probably NYY, BOS and STL. CHC needs to stick around longer for them to be with the big boys.

Chicago is a world class city with a large population that has mobility. Boston is another world class city. Many people from other locals migrate to Boston for school, employment, and such.

There are fans from many cities living in the Boston area. The New York teams have large contingents of fans living here. So it never surprises me to see opponents garb at Fenway.

I bought my Daughter a Pink Sox hat when she was 4. It was the only one I could find that fit! Still have it hanging on her bed frame!

My seat of the pants opinion matches yours. Some brands are just very popular. Even if they are not the best example of what they are.

For instance, while in Prague in 2001, I wore a Sox hat a lot. I did not see another Sox hat in ten days there. On the other hand, I saw Yankee hats quite frequently. In fact, only Ferrari hats seemed to out number the Yankee hats.

Jack Daniels is a very popular brand of "American whiskey" in Europe. But you can buy real bourbon ( like Jim Beam, for example ) as well.

This is all very scientific of me!:P

My 3 y/o picked out a pink one this winter. I don't have a problem with it. The pink hats are better than the camo ones anyway.

NYY symbol is probably the most famous in sports worldwide (excluding soccer).

Yeah. In Europe Ferrari is ( was ) big too. Motor racing is huge world wide.

Had the best record in spring training but tomorrow's the real deal. I feel this team can win 90 plus games.

Going out on a real limb there, aren't you?

JD will get his share of time in the outfield. He wants to play the field, and Cora has his back.

Hopefully, he will have a good defensive year with us.

My daughter also has a pink Sox hat, which she has outgrown. Hers is hanging on her bedroom doorknob.
