Typical Farrell speak. Gobledegook.

I say keep Price off out of MLB games until he has his stuff and is ready to pitch at least as well as last year.

And this gobbledygook is his supposed value. It's Nonsense.

He got his pitch count up, so it's time to return to Boston. His "Stuff" is better than any of Owens, Valazquez, Johnson, Kendrick .
On his worst day, Price is a better option than the others.

I agree. Price hasn't looked that great in his rehab starts, but I'll take my chances with him over the guys we've been starting in his spot.

Price to make his season debut Monday

Makes sense if he's physically ready. He'll be on somewhat of a pitch count, but he's still a better option than the others.

I have a feeling that he will get clobbered.
People who have been crippled by and almost killed by their front doors are understandably pessimistic.

@Jared_Carrabis

David Price's fastball averaged 93.82 MPH last May. His fastball averaged 95.19 MPH yesterday, higher than any of his 2016 monthly averages.

@Jared_Carrabis

Also, David Price's fastest fastball yesterday was 97.31 MPH, faster than any pitch that he threw in all of 2016.

Shaughnessy is reporting renewed elbow soreness for Price and that he will end up back on the DL

If Dan Shaughnessy's tweet is not correct, David Price should be justifiably angry.

Otherwise ...

I think he's going to have surgery this season no matter what.

Still think this way. That's the best case scenario for him. If he takes an extended DL stay, pitches at the end of the year and then rests in the offseason, I still don't think he'll be 100% in April 2018. He needs surgery.

Unless his magical arm uses it's unique healing properties again!

He should start carrying his ego with his right arm.

I just assumed he got hurt jerking himself off while staring in the mirror?

Price's DL placement is retroactive to Tuesdy. Sox described it as left elbow inflammation.

Best case scenario is that it's a short term issue. We'll know how serious is by Monday when the deadline ends.

@JeffPassan

The truth about David Price: Never believe what teams say publicly. A recurrence of his elbow issue, source says, "was a long time coming."

Convenient.

That is what most people are saying.

The next thing they say is get him out of town as soon as possible.

One way or another he is burying himself in the Boston market.

Shame really. He was so good for so many years and then he gets the big contract to come to Boston and he gets hurt, shits himself, and get hurt again ( cough cough ).

Another expensive mistake I guess.
