Hope all goes well...all the best to JBj and family.

Hurry back!!! Rusney is terrible.

So I guess this means Mookie back in CF for a bit and Rusney in LF with Swihart in RF? Or Rusney in RF?

He has to bond with the newborn infant for 3 days or studies show that the child is much more likely to grow up to be a spree killer.

That statement is incorrect. Studies actually show that if he didn't bond for a minimum of three days his child would likely not be able to hit .250 in the majors. Its important.

He should take all the time he needs.

Paternity leave? How times have changed. How long?

Changed for the better.

Hopefully there'll be less Jared Remys nowadays.

Jerry was there for his birth and breast fed him for the first week.

Thats not exactly true either. Remy actually breast fed him for the first 14 years.

JBJ is out on paternity leave!

Congrats to the Bradleys!

At this point, not sure whether the new Bradley is Chip (JB3?) or Barbie.

All the same, hope all goes well! Congrats!

I haven't heard anything this morning, but during last night's game OB said that JBJ was on paternity leave EXPECTING his wife to deliver a baby. He also said that paternity leaves are limited to three games so he'll be back in action on Friday night.

I'm afraid this is going to cool down his bat, which we can't really afford right now. Good thing his hit streak ended before this leave of absence.

Ummm...yeah..... Those of us who have a family know what he HASN'T been doing recently (at least I hope he hasn't, but ballplayers do have that reputation! LOL) so let's hope that getting 'back in the saddle' doesn't ruin his focus for baseball. Is that too selfish? LOL

Cmon fellow BDC alums, there was already a thread started on this (it's about halfway down the page). It's not that hard to at least skim the first page of threads.

Correction. It was his hot bat that started this streak ... 29 games, 9 months ... .... eh .. nevermind.

These guys have been very patient and welcoming to us, the least we can do is to follow along with some of their very basic requests.

Was he the only one performing well? If not, it doesn't matter if he cools off a little. Also, what would this have to do with the streak?

Missed it IRS ... should have looked closer. My bad.

Just a tip: This is not the way to respond to a polite comment. No one insulted you or got vulgar, he was actually quite reasonable. Your response was unnecessary and exactly the kind of thing that starts ridiculous fights. There was no need for you to respond at all, much less like this.

Oh good lord, it was a joke!

With the history these guys have, the comment is not only warranted, but necessary. He (TBSB) was also scolded for a similar comment directed towards me last night.
