iglesias can't be far off from a demotion. Take the few dozen infield hits and slice it by half, he's hitting about .280, slice by half again and he's barely over the mendoza line.

wat?!?

This must be a matrix that is unfamiliar to me....slice in half for the infield hits and slice it in half again....why???:D

Rarely see a pitch that bangs directly off that elbow pad....looked like Pedey got hit right on the thing.

Meh, there are plenty of other quality bullpen arms out there.

K-Rod would have fit pretty nicely here though and we would have had one of our two much needed relief pitchers. Wonder how Delmonico translates to a Sox prospect. Sounds like he has a good deal of development time ahead of him but is a pretty good prospect.

Orioles traded their 4th best prospect for K-Rod. That would be the equivalent of us trading Cecchini, Webster or De La Rosa. Not worth it.

Thanks for the post SR. That is sorta' what it looked like to me. I would not have wanted to do that either.

I wouldn't trade a top 5 prospect for KRod. The Succulent Breasts have done a pretty good job at getting players they want at their prices, Thornton being a good example. We'll definitely see a move, but it will be a more intelligent move than the Orioles did to pick him up. This does bring up the problem that we won't see Johnson blow another 15 saves this season :(

I would not have considered Webster or DLR for KRod under any circumstances. Cecchini might have been the closest to Delmonico if the Sox were doing that deal but mainly because the Sox have an abundance of left side infield guys.

Brewers would not likely have been interested in less than Cecchini out of the Sox stable. Probably says more about the quality of the Sox stable at this moment. We have some good prospects in the system right now.

We have to get some runs off Carmona next inning. You know that f***ing Maddon has 5 relievers lined up for us in a precision sequence.
