Great night all around. It's so much more fun to watch a competitive team with fight than the garbage that we had to watch last year. Whether we make the post season or not, this has been a fun season.

Why are you so reactionary on GT's? It's like a Jekyll and Hyde story with you posting normally and on GT's.

Because it's a game thread. If you want my non-reactionary posts, you'll need to look at the other threads. This thread is where I go nuts.

But as far as the Jeckyl and Hyde, I'm not sure what you're talking about? The post regarding the aggressive baserunning was intended to be about Butterfield. Ortiz's blunder was completely on himself, not Butterfield, IMO, since the play was in front of him.

But I don't know where else I've ever been jeckyl and hyde.

I'd also like to know why you haven't been posting so much Forsyth.

Been busy lately, so I haven't had much time to post. Plus, every thread I read contains ~65% personal attacks, ~35% actual baseball talk, so there's that too. But mostly because I've been busy.

Orioles traded their 4th best prospect for K-Rod. That would be the equivalent of us trading Cecchini, Webster or De La Rosa. Not worth it.

No way. Delmonico isn't a top 100 prospect on anybody's board. It would be much closer to a Bryce Brentz deal. The Sox system is stacked. Look at the Brandon Jacobs trade. He was the Sox #34 or #36 prospect, and bolted to #8 in the ChiSox system.

I'm going to do this early, since he's a new poster around here.

I like the reactionary stuff on game threads. That is what watching games is about-- excitement, emotion. No one goes to a game with the a press book to look up stats. They go to yell and scream and cheer and boo. No one should be held to account for what they say in a game thread.

Answer to your own question.

You can be reactionary without being a dick, and show emotion without being annoying. (Not saying you or SFF are being dicks or annoying, but i did find the difference between regular SFF and GT SFF curious, so i made the comment).

You also seem to have a thing for trying to turn a simple comment into a contentious issue. No one is "holding" anyone accountable for anything. Stop.

Well I'm definitely emotional when I watch the games, but I'm still not sure where the flip flopping comes from?

Who said anything about flip flopping? I just said you're rational while posting regularly, and extremely emotional and reactionary in the GT.

Ah - When I think of Jeckyl and Hyde, I think you mean flip flopping on opinions. I see now, though.

Just the other day, someone tried to make the case that I have been on the bandwagon to reacquire Papelbon from a reactionary GT post of mine. My remark about holding people to GT remarks wasn't directed at you. It was directed at everyone. Why do you take things so personally?

I made the comment which you referred to, and it wasn't supposed to be a big deal. If you've got issues with SR, sort it out with him.

There is nothing to be sorted out. It was just a comment. I obviously didn't even remember who had made the comment.
