you can watch the draft progress slowly and you get to notice patterns and quirks.

yup, like how come teams are putting together good squads and others like CD are determined to put as much sewage on the field as possible...

to be honest there was no plan to pick three infielders, it was more to pick the three hitters that could best hold down a lineup for the next 5 years. Good infield defense was secondary, maybe i should take advantage of that though and look up gb-fb ratios and such to take advantage of that seeing as my pitching staff may be my weakness.

a good website to find a stat like that would be nice.....

I went with Granderson - 5 tool CF with good defense who would be a lot better if he made just a little more contact but will provide me a solid core power bat with good speed and defense.

I think Granderson as a third rounder is a bit of an underdraft really for the package he brings to the table.

I don't really know if it would even be possible, but after the draft was over it would be cool if there was a way to somehow insert our teams into some program and come out with wins, losses, stats, etc. And we could do it every year for five years. Like I said I don't have a clue how or if that would be possible. Just a thought.

It probably would be possible if BSN07 would just HURRY THE f*** UP!

Damn I had Billingsley all slotted for my next pick. Oh well go with my other pick then.

Sorry it took me so long. Today is a national Holiday, so lots of drinking. Plus I didn't have access to the internet. I'll try and be faster next time around.

I took Roy Halladay. The guy is several years removed from minor shoulder issues and has never had structural issues involving his arm which leads me to think he is the rare type of pitcher, like a Curt Schilling or Randy Johnson, who will continue to pitch very effectively into his late 30s
