They don’t get anything from me for being overachievers. BresLOW should be fired for failing to put a team that could compete for a ring on the field.

Can't you go and torture Pats' fan on their board.

They've received barely nothing from Crochet, Anthony, and Story. Plus they've got two rookies who are pitching well past their bed time. And yet they have the 3rd best record in the AL.

All teams have had injuries. The Yankmees were without Judge for months. Sorry. Injuries are just another excuse for mediocrity.

Until they start losing and then you'll be all over them like stink on a skunk, because that's who you are.

Let me know when that happens.
Who played in the Superbowl last year?

You're the one who said you would take a 50% K rate if they hit 20-30hrs with a .350 Obp.

For a moment. I thought you were referring to Duran.

Duran isnt close to .350

Duran can barely get on base at .250.

And, try with all his might, he wont reach 20 HRs.

I'll take 65K% with 35% on base and 15 HRs.

With losses by both Texas and Toronto today, the Sox magic number for clinching a playoff spot drops to 9

Yeah-they’ll get in. Then one and out. Again.

Breslow needs to go

You may want to check your voluminous stars, Moon.

Duran already has 20 Hrs

I Meant to write 25.

I also wrote .350 AND 20-30 HRs.

To think, he might have been .340 and 10 HRs, had he not tried to be Mighty Mouse.

That’s a quality franchise. No reason to criticize them.

'22 Under .500

'23 One of the worst teams in the league

'24 One of the worst teams in the league

'25 Cupcake schedule and easiest path to the SB in my lifetime

'26 Under .500, 3 times as many INT as TD

If by "one of the worst" you mean bottom half, okay, but out of 15 teams...

2023: 7th in run diff and 8th in W-L.

2024: 8th in run diff and 9th in W-L.

Last place sucked, but we were not bottom 3rd tier, for what that's worth.

That would be a .250 OBP

There's a run diff in football?

It's just bad BABIP luck. He's due to turn it around any day now! 😎

Im not sure Gasper is coming all the way down even next year. He looks like a legit talented hitter.  Plus, Im not convinced that Owen Hull and/or Justin Gonzales wont be ready sooner than Duran would hope.  Im not sure 2b will be open as we'll have a combo of Story/Arias/Mead.  Then of course, theres Roman.  Looking kind of crowded for guys like Duran/Yoshida.

Hull & Gonzales (316 OPS in Sept) are likely not here until '28 at some point.

Breslow does need to start clearing up some roster spots though. I think it's easier to switch out DHs than position players. Going into a season with 4 starting OFers isn't ideal. Eat Masa's last year of salary and trade him. Let Story play one more season and phase in Arias as 2b/SS. Hope Duran recoups some value and deal at end of '27.

Sox just had 14 games in 13 days. They have a game off every week here on out and are seemingly locked into the 2nd WC spot. Should be able to rest players and line up their rotation for the playoffs.

I'm not going to be too worried about them dropping the series to the Angels. Go .500 the rest of the way and they are in.

I like the Sox chances more than the Pats.

For a championship? About the same I think. At least the Pats made it to the Big Dance last year. The Flops? One and done. Likely the same this year.

You forgot to mention all those years where the Patriots were in the playoffs actually contending for a ring, winning one with some regularity. I can understand that couldn’t go on forever. A few rebuilding years were always in the cards. And again last year? Superbowl. A quality franchise, unlike the FLOPS.

why did you ignore the previous 21 seasons, which included 17 AFC East titles, 9 AFC Championships, 9 Super Bowl appearances and 6 Super Bowl wins??

It’s called “cherry picking”. We all do it. The fact is that the Flops franchise sticks out like a sore thumb among the major New England teams.
We deserve better…..

Ahh the “all injuries are equal” argument.  Who wouldn’t argue that losing Crochet and Anthony for the bulk of the season is exactly the same as losing Tommy Edman for two weeks?  After all, every team has injuries, so therefore they’re all equal…

What do those teams have to do with the Pats now? What do those teams have to do with Fred being down on the Sox for having a few down years (just like the Pats did)?

Yeah, the New England Flops did just fine in February from what I remember.
